Petglad 6-US-DWC2004 Dog Winter Coat, Fleece-Lined and Water-Resistant

Some dogs need a light layer for a brisk walk, colder outings call for more coverage and insulation. The Petglad winter coat pairs a fleece lining with a water-resistant outer fabric for walks in cold, windy, snowy, or foggy weather.

An adjustable hook-and-loop closure makes the coat easier to put on and take off while helping tailor the fit around the neck and chest. A zippered leash opening lets you connect a leash to a compatible harness or collar.

The lilac coat is made from polyester and has reflective details for low-light outings. Its raised, foldable collar can cover the ears for added coverage in cold conditions.

What matters most

The fleece lining and padded construction add a warm layer for outdoor time in colder weather. The outer fabric is water-resistant and wind-resistant, making this a practical choice for snowy or foggy walks. It is not intended to be used directly as a raincoat, so choose it for cold-weather coverage rather than sustained rain protection.

The hook-and-loop closure adjusts at the neck and chest, and the leash opening has a zipper for harness access. Reflective details suit evening walks when visibility matters. For owners choosing between a simple outer layer and a warmer winter coat, the fleece lining and higher collar make this one better suited to chilly outings.

Everyday use

For a neighborhood walk, fasten the coat around your dog’s neck and chest, raise the collar when extra ear coverage is useful, and pass the leash connection through the zippered opening. The design also suits outdoor activities such as camping and hiking in cold weather. Its solid lilac color gives it a simple look, while the lightweight polyester construction keeps the coat easy to handle between outings.

Customer feedback often highlights warmth, ease of putting the coat on and taking it off, and access through the leash opening. Buyers also comment positively on the water-resistant exterior and hook-and-loop straps. Fit opinions are mixed, with some finding the fit right and others saying the coat runs long, so measuring your dog is a useful step before choosing a size.

Practical tips

Measure your dog’s chest, neck, and back, then compare those measurements with the size chart. The XL size is listed for a chest girth of 23.6–30.7 inches. Back length is especially useful to consider for a long-bodied dog, while chest girth is a key measurement for a dog with a broad or muscular chest. Adjust the hook-and-loop closures for a secure fit that still allows comfortable movement.

The coat is machine washable, which helps simplify care after regular outdoor use. For rainy weather, choose a garment intended for direct rain protection, this coat is designed for cold conditions and water resistance rather than use as a raincoat.

Final verdict

This Petglad coat brings together fleece warmth, adjustable fastening, a raised collar, reflective details, and zippered leash access in one winter layer. It’s a great fit if you want practical coverage for cold-weather walks and outdoor activities, with sizing selected from your dog’s measurements.
