PANDAFLY Drawing Pencil Set, 22-Piece

For a study at the kitchen table, a quick portrait, or a shaded sketch that needs more than one kind of mark, the PANDAFLY drawing pencil set brings graphite, charcoal, and blending tools together in one kit. Its range runs from 12B to 2H, so you can move between dark, soft shading and firmer lines without relying on a single pencil. The mix is useful for beginners exploring different materials as well as artists who want basic sketching tools close at hand. One practical tradeoff: paper is not listed among the contents, so you’ll need to supply your own surface.

Technical details

The 22-piece set includes eight graphite pencils in 12B, 10B, 8B, 6B, 4B, 2B, HB, and 2H, four black charcoal pencils in S-Soft, Soft, Medium, and Hard, and one white charcoal pencil. It also comes with three charcoal sticks, three blending stumps, a sharpener, a kneaded eraser, and a vinyl eraser.

That mix gives you more than a graphite-only starter pack. Graphite covers a broad range of values, while the charcoal pieces offer another way to build darker marks, the white pencil can add light marks within a drawing. The stumps are there to blend, and the two eraser types give you options for lifting or removing marks. The product is described as non-toxic, but no further material or safety details are provided here.

Getting the most from it

There are no device or setup requirements for a drawing set. You will need drawing paper or another suitable surface, which is not included in the listed contents. If you already have paper and want to try both graphite and charcoal, this kit puts the main tools in one place. Someone who only wants to make simple graphite outlines may be better served by a smaller pencil-only set, the extra charcoal and blending pieces matter more when you plan to shade or experiment with texture.

Usage tips

Start a portrait with HB or 2H for lighter outlines, then build darker areas gradually with the softer graphite grades or a charcoal pencil. For example, you could sketch the shape of a mug in HB, shade one side with a softer pencil, and use a blending stump to soften the transition. Try the white charcoal on a darker drawing surface if you have one, but the set itself does not include paper, so that surface is a separate purchase. Keep the kneaded and vinyl erasers for different kinds of corrections rather than expecting one tool to handle every mark.

No. It also includes black and white charcoal pencils and charcoal sticks, alongside the graphite pencils.

Buying verdict

It makes sense if you want to explore graphite shading and charcoal in the same kit, or need a ready-to-use assortment for practice and hobby sketching. From the way it is set up, its appeal is variety rather than a deep supply of any one grade: the kit includes one pencil for each listed graphite grade and a small group of supporting tools. Not the best choice if you need drawing paper included, want multiple pencils of a particular grade, or are looking for a graphite-only set with no charcoal extras. For mixed-material practice, though, the range gives you room to find the marks and shading approach you prefer before buying more specialized supplies.
