Nuxovilar Stove Top Cover Mat, 28.35 × 20.47 Inches, Polyester-Diatom Blend

Some kitchens need a little extra surface space, while others mainly need to keep an unused cooktop covered. This Nuxovilar mat is intended to do both, with a seasonal Santa Sleigh design. Its rectangular shape and listed dimensions help you judge whether it will fit your stove.

At a glance

The cover measures 28.35 × 20.47 inches and is made from a polyester and diatom-mud blend. The listing describes it as water-absorbent, moisture-proof, scratch-resistant, and tear-resistant, with stitched edges intended to help prevent fraying. It also has non-slip edges for placement on the cooktop. These features make it a removable layer for keeping everyday dust and dirt off an inactive stove, or for covering the surface during longer periods of storage.

The listing says it can be used with electric and gas stoves, including built-in and freestanding models. Measure your available cooktop area against the stated dimensions before choosing it, the product information does not provide a range of sizes or a custom-fit option. Compared with leaving a cooktop exposed, this mat provides a cover that can also serve as temporary space for tableware and seasonings during a holiday meal.

Care & maintenance

The product information says the mat can be cleaned with a damp cloth. That makes spot cleaning a straightforward option for the dust, dirt, or splatters it is intended to help block. No washing-machine instructions or other detailed care directions are provided, so a damp-cloth wipe is the supported approach rather than assuming it can be laundered.

Use the cover only on an inactive, fully cool cooktop. The listing does not give a heat-resistance rating, so it should not be treated as a heatproof surface or left in place while burners are operating. That distinction matters if you want a mat that can remain on the stove during cooking.

Usage tips

For a practical holiday setup, place the cover over a clean, cool cooktop when it is not being used, then use the surface temporarily for tableware or seasonings while preparing a meal. Keep the stove uncovered before turning it on, and remove the mat rather than relying on its material blend or non-slip edges to withstand cooking heat. Its stated dimensions are especially useful when deciding whether it will cover the area you want without extending beyond the cooktop.

The seasonal Santa Sleigh styling gives it a decorative role as well as a protective one. It suits you if you want a removable cover for dust protection and occasional extra staging space, and the Christmas design fits your kitchen decor. The listing also mentions scratch protection during storage, but does not specify a level of protection or testing conditions.

Buying verdict

This is a focused choice for covering a cooktop when it is off, adding a seasonal accent, and making temporary use of the surface for serving or meal prep. Its stated size, polyester-and-diatom-mud blend, wipe-clean care, and non-slip edges offer useful details for comparing it with a basic dust cover. It may not suit you if you need a heat-rated cover or a surface that can stay on the stove during cooking, no heat rating is provided. Match the dimensions to your cooktop and plan to remove the mat before using the burners.
