Nimiko Flameless Candles, Set of 9

For a mantel, dining table, or lantern display where an open flame is inconvenient, the Nimiko flameless candle set offers a flickering LED look without melting wax. The nine plastic pillar candles come in several heights, and a remote lets you change their lighting without reaching into a tight arrangement. You also get timer choices and two lighting modes, so the set can suit a simple evening display or a repeating daily routine. Batteries are not included, and the candles are not waterproof—two details that matter before choosing where to use them.

What matters most

The main appeal is convenience: these candles are designed to imitate a flickering flame while avoiding a real wick and melted wax. Their 3D-wick design and flicker mode aim to make the effect more candle-like, an always-on mode gives you a steadier look when that suits the room better. The remote controls the candles and offers 2-, 4-, 6-, and 8-hour timer settings that cycle every 24 hours. Two remotes are included, which may be handy if the candles are split between rooms or placed somewhere hard to reach.

The set is made of plastic, so it won’t behave like a wax pillar if you’re looking closely at the material. Keep in mind that it is not waterproof, despite the product’s mention of outdoor decoration. Treat outdoor placement as suitable only where the candles stay protected from water. On the spec sheet, the combination of remote control, timer, and multiple heights makes this more of a ready-made display set than a single accent candle.

Size & fit

Each candle has a 3-inch diameter, with heights listed as 3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4, 5, 6, and 7 inches. That range gives you a staggered arrangement without needing to combine separate sets. For example, you could group the taller pillars at the back of a mantel and place the shorter ones toward the front, or spread them across a table for a more even layout. Check that the 3-inch diameter works for your lanterns or holders, the provided information does not specify holder compatibility.

Tips for day-to-day use

Plan for the batteries before setting the candles in place, since none are included. Once arranged, the remote can be useful for switching the display on or off without moving decorations, while the timer can handle a regular evening routine. The 24-hour cycle means the selected timer setting repeats daily, so choose the duration with that schedule in mind. A solid pick if you want several flame-free pillars that can be controlled together from a distance. It might not be a great match if you need weather-resistant candles or specifically want the look and feel of real wax.

Practical doubts

Are batteries included? No. The set includes nine candles, two remotes, and an instruction manual, but batteries are not included.

What can the remote change? The listed controls include flicker or always-on lighting, light or dark settings, remote switching, and the 2-, 4-, 6-, or 8-hour timer options.

Can these stay outside in the rain? No. The candles are explicitly described as not waterproof, so keep them away from rain and other water exposure.

Should you buy it?

Choose this set if you want a coordinated group of LED pillars in varied heights, with remote operation and a repeating timer for indoor decorating. It offers a practical alternative to buying one candle at a time when you want a layered display without an open flame. The trade-off is straightforward: you’ll need to supply batteries, and the plastic construction is not suited to wet conditions. If either point conflicts with how you plan to use the candles, a different material or a waterproof design would be a better fit.
