NestGuard Child Proof Door Lock, 4-Pack White Adjustable Latch

Some households need a permanent barrier, while others want to limit access without drilling into a door. The NestGuard Child Proof Door Lock uses adhesive-mounted bases and an adjustable stainless steel strap. Its rotating base helps you position the latch for different door setups. The four-pack can help manage access to several areas around the home.

Practical tips

Use the adjustable strap to create a controlled opening where you want to restrict a young child’s access but still let a cat pass toward a litter box or pet feeder. The latch is also described for use on bifold, sliding, pocket, and double doors, as well as windows, giving it more placement options than a lock designed for just one doorway style.

Installation is tool-free: peel the backing from the adhesive and press the bases onto the door and frame. Press firmly for a few seconds so the adhesive can make contact. The product instructions say not to apply it to drywall or wallpaper. The base rotates 360 degrees, which helps orient the strap to suit the placement. If you plan to move or remove the lock, take care around painted surfaces, some buyers report that removal pulled paint away.

Technical overview

• Type: Child-proof door lock with adjustable strap
• Strap material: Stainless steel
• Mounting: 3M adhesive backing
• Base: 360-degree rotation
• Color: White
• Package quantity: Four
• Installation: Tool-free, no drilling required

Pros

The adjustable length makes it possible to set the opening to suit the doorway and the access you want to allow. For example, a narrow controlled gap can help keep a toddler out of a pet-feeding area while still giving a cat a route through. The rotating base adds flexibility when positioning the latch, and adhesive mounting avoids drilling holes during installation.

Buyers often praise how straightforward the lock is to operate and say the locking mechanism is easy to use. Feedback on the adhesive is mixed: some find it holds securely, while others report that it does not stick well. That difference makes careful placement and firm pressure during installation especially worthwhile. The product is intended to help restrict access, not replace active supervision of children.

Should you buy it?

It suits you if you want a tool-free way to limit a child’s access to selected rooms and value an adjustable strap over a fixed-position latch. The stainless steel strap, rotating base, and four included locks support flexible placement around the home, while the controlled-gap setup can also accommodate household pets. For families who want to avoid drilling and need a child-safety latch for more than one doorway, the NestGuard set brings those practical features together in one format.
