NECROTICGOREBEAST Brute Audio CD, 16-Minute Brutal Death Metal EP

A 16-minute burst of brutal death metal, Brute brings NECROTICGOREBEAST’s horror-inspired sound to a compact EP format. Its short runtime makes it easy to fit into a focused listening session without committing to a full-length album.

The music moves between deliberate, punishing grooves and faster, more frenetic passages. That contrast gives the release a shifting pace while keeping its heavy, abrasive character at the center.

This Audio CD features four listed tracks, including “Knuckle Deep Convulsions,” with guest vocals from Chaney Crabb of Entheos. Recording, mixing, and mastering credits include Christopher Rannou-Poulin and Miguel Tereso.

What stands out

Brute leans into horror-film atmosphere and extreme heaviness rather than a polished, restrained metal sound. The title track is described as drawing on ’80s horror, setting up a dark mood before the EP moves into its forceful, groove-driven songs. Slower, measured sections give the riffs room to land, bursts of speed bring a sharper change of intensity. The result is a compact release with more than one pace, suited to listeners who value shifts in momentum within extreme metal.

The EP’s format is part of its appeal. At 16 minutes, it offers a concentrated alternative to a full-length album: a good fit for a short listening session, or for listeners who want to explore NECROTICGOREBEAST’s brutal death metal through a concise release. The Audio CD format also makes it a physical-format choice for a collection centered on metal albums and EPs.

Cover artwork by Andreas Christanetoff of Armaada Art completes the release’s dark visual presentation. These production and artwork credits give collectors useful context about the people behind the sound and presentation, while the concise runtime keeps the focus on the EP itself.
