monTEK HW1272BK Full Motion TV Wall Mount for 37–84-Inch TVs

Set up a TV for a wide seating area, a corner placement, or a spot where viewing angles change throughout the day. The monTEK HW1272BK uses articulating arms to swivel the screen up to ±90° and tilt it without tools. Choose a fixed, straight-on setup when the viewing position stays the same, or use this mount’s movement to adjust the screen as needed.

At a glance

Designed for 37–84-inch TVs, the HW1272BK supports up to 110 lbs and VESA patterns from 200x100 to 600x400mm. Its three-arm design has been tested at four times its rated load. The screen tilts from +5° to -15° to help adjust the viewing angle, and ±3° of leveling adjustment lets you fine-tune alignment after installation.

The articulating arms extend up to 16.6 inches from the wall and retract to 2.75 inches. That range gives you room to position the screen for different seats, then bring it closer to the wall when you want a neater, less extended setup. Velcro cable straps help keep cords organized as the screen moves.

For installation, the mount fits 12- or 16-inch wood studs and can also be installed on concrete or solid brick. It should not be mounted on drywall alone. A drill template, mounting hardware, and instruction manual are included, along with a safety lock to secure the TV in place. Buyers often highlight the mount’s adjustability and straightforward installation, some also report issues with screw fit, so match the hardware to your TV and wall during setup.

Getting the most from it

Before mounting, match the TV’s VESA pattern and weight to the mount’s supported range, and plan the bracket position around the available stud spacing or a suitable concrete or brick wall. Once installed, the swivel is useful when the screen needs to face different parts of a room, such as a couch and a dining area. The tilt adjustment can help direct the screen toward the viewer, while the leveling adjustment supports a tidy final alignment.

The arms also make this a practical choice when the TV needs to extend from the wall for viewing and retract afterward. For cable organization, route cords with the included Velcro straps so they remain arranged as the mount is repositioned.

Who it’s for

This mount suits people who want more than a fixed screen position, especially in living rooms with multiple seating areas, corner setups, or home theaters where viewers may sit off-center. Its broad screen-size range and VESA support accommodate many TV configurations, while the 110-lb capacity is a key consideration when matching it to a larger display. Buyers also mention using it with 75-inch TVs and value the ability to move the screen in different directions.

If the TV will always face one seat, a fixed mount is a simpler approach. The HW1272BK is better suited to a room where swivel, tilt, extension, or post-install leveling will make the screen easier to position for everyday viewing.

Final verdict

The monTEK HW1272BK brings wide-angle positioning, tool-free tilt, and a retracting arm design to compatible 37–84-inch TVs. Its combination of ±90° swivel, cable straps, and support for wood studs or solid masonry makes it a useful choice for flexible viewing arrangements where a fixed wall position would be less practical.
