Mexican Train Dominoes Set, Double 12

Key specifications

The eight wooden racks give players a way to keep their dominoes visible and sorted during a game, instead of holding a hand of tiles throughout each turn.

This is a Double 12 Mexican Train set with 91 plastic tiles and colored dots. Each rack has three slightly angled slots, so tiles can stand upright or lie sideways. A zippered case stores the set for packing away or taking to a gathering.

The product details don’t give the case dimensions or an age range. That makes it harder to judge how much storage space it needs or whether its pieces suit a particular child.

Who it’s for

This set is aimed at family game nights, parties, and holiday gatherings where players want a shared tabletop game. For example, players can arrange their tiles in the wooden racks, place the colorful trains as game markers, and use the score pad to keep track of rounds. The included instruction sheet gives the group a reference for getting started.

It suits you if you want a ready-to-store set with individual racks, rather than a basic domino pack that leaves players to organize tiles by hand. Eight racks make it more suited to a group setup than a small, stripped-down set, the product doesn’t specify a maximum player count, though.

In the box

The set includes 91 domino tiles, eight wooden racks, nine colorful trains, a hub, an instruction sheet, a score pad, and a portable zippered case. Having a case for all the listed pieces is useful when the game needs to be put away between gatherings. The listing doesn’t provide dimensions for the case, so its fit on a shelf or in a bag is difficult to judge in advance.

Before you decide

Are the dominoes plastic? The tiles are described as plastic, with colored dots.

What is the Double 12 format? The listing identifies the set as Double 12 and states that it contains 91 tiles.

Does it include storage? Yes. The zippered case is described as holding all the pieces, including the wooden racks.

Buying verdict

The draw here is the combination of a full Double 12 tile set, individual wooden holders, and a case, rather than the dominoes alone. On the spec sheet, that makes it a practical fit for someone who expects to play at home or bring the game to family gatherings and wants the pieces kept together afterward. The racks also give players a clearer view of their tiles while the game is in progress.

You may want to skip it if you need confirmed case dimensions, a stated age recommendation, or a specified player count before choosing a game. Those details aren’t provided, and the eight racks and other accessories make this a more involved set than a minimal domino pack. Buy it for the organized group-play setup, choose a simpler format if you’d rather have fewer pieces to store.
