MatEssenz 27.5"x43" Outdoor Doormat, Washable Brown Woven Rug with TPR Backing

At 27.5" x 43", this MatEssenz mat gives a front door or patio entrance more coverage than a compact doormat. Its brown, textured woven surface brings a softer look than a plain rubber mat. The low-profile design is 0.27 inches thick. It is machine washable and has a TPR backing.

Practical tips

Use it at an outdoor entryway where its rectangular footprint can sit in front of a wider door, or place it beneath a smaller coir mat for a layered look. The woven surface is intended to catch dirt, dust, and muddy paw prints before they travel farther indoors. For routine care, shake it out, when it needs a deeper clean, the care instructions specify machine washing. The mat is listed as water resistant, not waterproof, so it is best to treat that as resistance to some moisture rather than protection from standing water or prolonged exposure to wet conditions.

The backing is designed to grip common porch surfaces, including concrete, wood decks, and tile. Its low pile may also be useful where door clearance matters. Still, a non-slip backing is not a guarantee that a mat will stay fixed on every surface, so placement and the condition of the floor matter. Keep the mat flat and make sure it does not interfere with the door’s movement.

Benefits

The 27.5" x 43" size offers a broader landing area than a small, single-step mat, which can suit wider entries or patio doors. The surface is made from 70% polyester with a cotton blend, and the machine-made weave gives it a textured appearance without the bulky profile of a plush rug. Brown and a checkered pattern make the look easy to coordinate with a range of porch styles, while the listing describes the style as boho.

This is a practical alternative to a basic rubber mat when appearance and coverage are part of the decision, not just a place to wipe shoes. Its washable care instructions are useful for an entry that sees regular foot traffic or pets. Unlike a thicker indoor rug, however, the 0.27-inch construction is a slim layer rather than a cushioned place to stand.

Worth noting

The listed material is a 70% polyester, cotton blend, the exact proportion of the remaining blend is not specified. Although the mat is designed for outdoor use and is water resistant, the available details do not state that it is suitable for leaving submerged or in standing water. Its low profile is also a trade-off: it may work better where door clearance is important, but it will not offer the feel of a thick, padded rug. Check that the dimensions suit the entry area before choosing it, especially if you intend to layer it with another mat.

When it makes sense

It’s a great fit if you want a washable, brown woven mat with more coverage for a porch, front entry, or patio door, and prefer a lower profile to a plush rug. It can also serve as the larger base in a layered doormat arrangement. It might not be a great match if you need a thick cushion underfoot or expect a mat to remain firmly in place on every floor surface. In those cases, a more padded style or a setup chosen specifically for the floor beneath it may suit the use better.
