Maranon 14-Inch King Hybrid Mattress with Gel Memory Foam and Pocketed Coils

Technical overview

The Maranon king mattress measures 80" L x 76" W x 14" thick and combines gel memory foam with individually wrapped pocket coils. Its medium-firm feel and Euro top create a cushioned sleep surface with a supportive hybrid foundation. Seven targeted support zones are designed to cradle the body from head to ankle, while independent coils help limit motion transfer across the mattress.

• Size: King
• Dimensions: 80" L x 76" W x 14" thick
• Construction: Hybrid
• Comfort layer: Gel memory foam
• Coil type: Individually wrapped pocket coils
• Firmness: Medium firm
• Top style: Euro top

The foam layer is intended to ease pressure at contact points, while the pocketed spring system provides a distinct support component beneath it. Because the coils move independently, movement on one side is less likely to travel across the entire surface. That can be useful for couples who want a more settled sleep surface without giving up the contouring feel of memory foam. A breathable 3D cover and open-cell gel foam are also part of the design, supporting airflow through the mattress.

Usage tips

This mattress arrives compressed and rolled in a box, making the package format easier to handle during setup than a fully expanded mattress. After unboxing, allow 24–72 hours for it to expand fully before expecting its finished shape. Give it room to open out, and keep the sleeping area clear while it expands.

The medium-firm feel offers a middle ground between a plush, deeply cushioned surface and a firmer, more direct feel. The seven-zone design is intended to provide targeted support along the body, while the memory foam adds contouring at the surface. When choosing between a hybrid and an all-foam mattress, this model’s combination of foam and pocket coils is the defining difference: it pairs pressure-relieving foam with a separate spring layer and individually moving coils.

How to use it

Unpack the rolled mattress in the room where it will be used, then allow it to expand for 24–72 hours. Its king dimensions provide a broad shared sleep surface, and the pocketed coils are designed to absorb motion transfer between sleeping partners. The gel memory foam and breathable cover are intended to help manage heat around the sleep surface, while the medium-firm construction balances cushioning with targeted support.

When it makes sense

This Maranon mattress makes sense for shoppers looking for a king-size hybrid with both memory foam and individually wrapped coils. Its 14-inch profile, Euro top, and medium-firm feel bring cushioning and structured support together in one mattress. The design is especially relevant when pressure-relieving foam is a priority but a coil-based support layer is also desired.

For a shared bed, the independently wrapped coils offer a practical reason to consider this construction: each coil responds separately, helping reduce the spread of movement across the surface. The seven support zones add a targeted element, and the breathable cover and open-cell gel foam complement the hybrid design. It’s a great fit if you want a king mattress in a box with a medium-firm feel, foam comfort, and pocket-coil support.
