Lifewit Slim Laundry Hamper 75L

Technical details

The Lifewit 75L slim laundry hamper is aimed at households trying to fit laundry storage into a narrow bedroom, closet, bathroom, or dorm room. Its listed dimensions are 16.5 x 9.8 x 28.4 inches, so the slim footprint is the main reason to choose it over a wider basket. The beige Oxford cloth body has a lid, a removable inner bag, and bamboo handles, four glass fiber support rods help the hamper stay upright. It folds for storage after you remove the rods.

The removable bag is described as breathable and machine washable, and it can also be used to protect clothes during a wash cycle. The fabric is described as waterproof, but the product details do not establish that the hamper itself is suitable for storing wet laundry. The lid is intended to help contain odors, not to create an airtight seal.

Getting the most from it

This is a storage-first hamper for rooms where a standard wide basket would get in the way. It makes sense if you want to keep clothes off the floor while leaving more open space beside a bed or in a compact bathroom. For example, you can tuck it beside a closet, lift out the bag when laundry day comes, and carry the laundry without moving the full frame. A wider basket may be easier to load with bulky bedding, while this narrow shape prioritizes fitting into a tight spot.

There is a setup step: insert the four support rods, secure the support under the basket, and fasten the hook-and-loop closure. The maker specifically notes that this fastening helps prevent the support rod from slipping. Not the best choice if you need a hamper for oversized loads or want to avoid assembly, the 9.8-inch width makes placement easier but limits how much room there is for broad items.

Usage tips

Measure the intended spot before setting it up, especially if the hamper will sit between furniture or inside a closet. Leave enough room to open the lid and lift out the bag. If the space is especially tight, confirm the full height will fit without that measurement becoming an afterthought.

Keep the inner bag in place for everyday sorting, then remove it when you need to carry clothes to the laundry area. The long handle is intended to make transport easier, while the lid helps keep laundry out of sight and reduce odor spread. For storage, remove the rods and fold the body rather than trying to collapse it while assembled. Follow the included assembly instructions and secure the support before loading clothes.

Practical doubts

Can the inner bag be washed? The product details say it can be machine washed. They do not specify a wash cycle or temperature, so follow any care instructions supplied with the bag.

Does the hamper stand up when empty? Its rigid opening and four support rods are designed to help it stay upright, including when empty. Correct assembly and fastening still matter.

Will the lid completely seal in odors? The lid is intended to help prevent odors from spreading, but the details do not claim an airtight closure. Treat it as a covered hamper, not a sealed container.

Buying verdict

Choose this Lifewit hamper when a narrow footprint, a removable washable bag, and fold-away storage solve a real space problem. The lid and carry handle add useful everyday convenience, and the listed 75L capacity gives it room for routine laundry. Skip it if your priority is a broad opening for bulky items, or if you need a sealed solution for odors or wet clothes, those requirements are not established by the product details.
