LDPE Plastic Mattress Bag for Moving & Storage – Waterproof Queen Size (1.5MIL) Mattress Protector
Product description
Quick overview
If you’re moving soon—or you’re just trying to keep a mattress clean during storage—this plastic mattress bag is built for that exact in-between stage. It’s a queen-size LDPE cover designed to slide over the mattress, then fold up and seal so your mattress stays protected from dust and moisture while you handle the logistics.
On paper, the 1.5MIL bag leans practical rather than fancy: it’s meant to act as a barrier against everyday risks like dust and water exposure, and it’s also described as tear-resistant. Still, it’s not a substitute for proper long-term climate control, it’s a moving/storage shield, not a “forever” environment.
Key features that matter for moving
The main draw here is straightforward protection. The bag is made from LDPE material described as odorless and highly transparent, so you don’t have to guess what’s happening during packing. The cover is also described as waterproof and dust-proof, which is exactly what you want if storage is in a garage, shed, or any place where dampness and grit can be a problem.
A big detail for day-to-day usability: the process is simple. Lay the bag flat, slide the mattress in, then fold it and secure it using packaging tape. That means you’re not wrestling with a cover that requires complex steps.
It’s also positioned as tear-resistant, which matters when mattresses get nudged, shifted, and carried while you’re packing other items. You’ll feel the difference most when you’re trying to avoid rips during a quick move rather than taking your time like you’re wrapping a fragile artwork.
What to know about sizing
This cover is designed for queen size mattresses with dimensions listed as 100" x 60" and a height up to 14 inches (≤14 inches). The mattress cover size is also given as 100" x 60" x 14".
That last part is the one people forget. If your mattress is taller than what’s stated, the bag may not seal properly or could end up stretched in a way that’s less forgiving. If you’re close, it’s worth double-checking your mattress height before you buy.
Where it shines (and where it might not)
This is a good fit if your priority is protecting a bulky item during moving and storage—especially for preventing dust and limiting water exposure. It’s also described as useful beyond mattresses, including for safeguarding other bulky furniture like patio furniture, chairs, sofas, loveseats, and even Christmas trees.
That said, it’s still plastic film. If your goal is heavy-duty long-term protection in very humid conditions or you’re trying to fully replace a dedicated storage system, you may find it a bit limiting. The bag helps as a barrier, but it can’t control the entire storage environment.
Everyday use tips
For a smoother pack-out, keep the mattress bag away from heat sources and sharp objects during storage, since those are the kinds of issues that can compromise plastic during the process. Also, don’t rush the slide-in step—align the bag as you lay it flat, so you don’t create stress points.
A practical example: imagine you’re loading a moving truck and the mattress is the last thing to go. If the bag goes on cleanly and seals tight with packaging tape, you can focus on securing the truck while knowing the mattress is covered from dust and minor moisture exposure.

Is it worth it?
Buy it if you need a queen-size mattress protector for moving and storage and you want a simple, barrier-style solution that’s waterproof, dust-proof, and tear-resistant on paper. It makes sense for anyone who’s packing up a mattress for a period of time and wants to reduce exposure to dust and moisture without complicated setup.
Skip it if your mattress is taller than 14 inches (≤14 inches) or if you’re expecting a “climate-controlled” level of protection. It’s a practical moving/storage bag, so it won’t replace smart storage choices or proper handling when there’s a lot of sharp stuff around.
