Kipiea 1300D boat cover

Technical details

Rain, sun, and dust can make an uncovered boat harder to keep ready for its next outing. This Kipiea boat cover is designed to shield a parked boat from those everyday outdoor conditions.

The package also includes a separate outboard motor cover and a storage bag. That gives you a place to keep the cover when it is off the boat.

Its main appeal is the combination of coverage and adjustable fastening, rather than a one-size-fits-all fit.

The cover uses Oxford fabric with a double-layer PU coating. The listing says taped seams are intended to limit water seepage and reports support for water pressure up to 200,000 Pa. It also claims a UV-resistant coating that blocks 99.99% of UV rays, plus tear-resistant fabric and double-thread stitching. Treat those figures as manufacturer claims, not a guarantee of performance in every weather or storage situation.

Thirteen adjustable straps and elastic sewn into the bottom hem help secure the cover around the boat. The stated fit is for boats 17–19 feet long, with a beam up to 96 inches, including V-hull, fish-and-ski, pro-style, fishing, and bass boats. A manual is included, and the listing states a three-year replacement offer.

Compatibility & requirements

Sizing is the first decision point: the listed length and beam range need to match your boat, and the product’s shape categories should make sense for its hull and layout. The description names several boat styles, but it does not spell out a detailed fit chart for individual models. A cover that falls outside the stated dimensions may not sit or tighten as intended.

From the way it is set up, the adjustable straps are meant to let you snug the cover around the boat instead of relying on a loose drape. That matters when the boat is stored outdoors. Still, the listing’s wind-resistance language is not a reason to assume every installation will stay secure at highway speeds, fit and fastening remain important.

Usage tips

Use the straps to secure the hem evenly, rather than leaving one side loose. For example, after pulling the cover over a bass boat in the driveway, check that the fabric is seated across the boat and the straps are attached before leaving it exposed to rain or dust. The included motor cover can protect the outboard separately, while the storage bag helps keep the main cover together when removed.

A solid pick if your boat falls within the stated dimensions and you want a fitted cover with a separate motor cover. You may want to skip it if your boat is longer, wider, or a different configuration than the listing describes. Compared with a basic loose cover, the adjustable straps and elastic hem offer more ways to secure the fit, a more demanding storage setup may call for a solution chosen specifically for conditions or boat dimensions not covered here.

Practical doubts

What size boats does it fit? The stated range is 17–19 feet long, with a beam up to 96 inches.

Which boat styles are listed? V-hull, fish-and-ski, pro-style, fishing, and bass boats are named.

What comes with the cover? The listing includes an outboard motor cover, a storage bag, and an installation manual.

Final verdict

This cover is worth considering when its size range and listed boat styles match your setup, and you want weather shielding plus adjustable straps and a dedicated motor cover. Its main limitation is that the fit guidance is broad: if your boat is near or beyond the stated dimensions, or its shape is unusual, the listing does not provide enough detail to promise a secure fit. Choose it for a boat that clearly matches the specifications, look for a more specifically sized option when fit is uncertain.
