Kalkal 052 Tree Stand Umbrella, 58-Inch Camo Canopy with Adjustable Tree Strap

Set up a sheltered spot at your tree stand with the Kalkal 052 Tree Stand Umbrella. Its 58-inch-wide camouflage canopy is designed to fit close to a tree trunk, giving you overhead coverage for hunting gear and helping shield you from rain, wet snow, wind, and sun. The foliage pattern is made to blend into wooded surroundings.

The folding design is portable and opens and closes for use in the field. An adjustable buckle strap helps secure it to a tree, while the included mounting pole has a threaded tip designed to resist bending.

What matters most

This umbrella is built around a practical need: adding overhead cover at a tree stand without bringing a ground blind as the primary shelter. The 58-inch width provides space for your position and gear, and the canopy’s close-cut shape is designed to fit around the trunk. That combination can help keep rain and wet snow off you while creating cover above the stand. The manufacturer also describes it as protection from sun, wind, and falling debris such as squirrels or birds.

Camouflage is integrated into the canopy rather than added as a separate cover. Its tree-and-foliage pattern suits wooded hunting locations, and the umbrella can also serve as a guard for a ground blind. Buyers commonly praise the coverage and ease of putting it up. Feedback on wind resistance is less consistent: some say it can feel shaky in stronger winds, so the most useful expectation is coverage suited to the conditions at your hunting location. Opinions on value also vary.

Size & fit

The stated dimensions are 58 x 58 x 58 inches, and the listed weight is 1.15 pounds. The 58-inch width gives the canopy room to extend over your stand area, while its trunk-fitting cut is intended to sit close to the tree. For hunters choosing between a tree-mounted umbrella and a ground blind, this model is designed for overhead cover attached to the tree, with the added option of using it as a ground blind guard.

Usage tips

Use the mounting pole and adjustable buckle webbing to secure the umbrella to the tree, positioning the cut edge close to the trunk for the intended fit. Open it when you need cover and close it for carrying or storage, the opening has a secure closure designed to help prevent accidental dropping. Its folding format makes it practical to take to different hunting locations, and the camouflage pattern keeps the canopy in step with a wooded setup.

For a typical tree-stand session, the umbrella can provide cover over the hunter and nearby gear while leaving the stand as the main hunting position. Buyers also describe it as straightforward to install. Wind conditions are worth factoring into where and when you use any overhead canopy, as some buyers report movement in breezy conditions.

Final verdict

The Kalkal 052 is a purpose-built choice for hunters who want portable overhead coverage at a tree stand. Its 58-inch camo canopy, trunk-fitting shape, adjustable tree strap, and included mounting pole make it suited to wooded hunting setups, with ground blind guard use as another practical application.
