Hunters Specialties HS-100145 True Talker OG Deer Call, Five Vocalizations

When you want to call during a hunt, the Hunters Specialties True Talker OG gives you five deer vocalizations in one compact game call. It produces mature buck and young buck grunts, doe and fawn bleats, plus an aggressive buck growl, so you can choose among several call types without switching between separate calls.

A soft rubber exterior and fingertip controls help you handle and adjust the call in the field, while the included lanyard keeps it close at hand.

How it fits

The True Talker OG is built for hunters who want more than a single grunt sound. Its five vocalizations cover buck, doe, and fawn calls, including a growl intended to draw the attention of aggressive mature bucks. That range makes it a practical alternative to carrying separate calls for each of those sounds. Use the vocalization that suits the moment, then adjust the call’s volume, tone, and direction with fingertip control.

The rubber sleeve over the bellows and grunt tube is designed to let you shape the sound as you operate the call. The exterior’s soft rubber feel also provides a grippy surface in wet or cold conditions. Its green color and included lanyard make it straightforward to keep with your hunting gear and accessible when you need it.

Why it’s worth it

One call handles five common deer vocalizations, including the added aggressive growl. That versatility is the main advantage over choosing a call focused on just one sound: you can carry a broader set of calling options in the True Talker OG. The improved reed design is also described as resistant to freezing up, a useful consideration when calling in cold weather.

What helps when you need to shape a call without putting the device down? The fingertip control lets you manipulate volume, tone, and direction while operating it. Buyers often describe the call as easy to use, though feedback on sound and reliability is mixed. Some report satisfying sound and operation, while others are unhappy with the tone or say the call did not work as expected. Reed assembly durability also receives criticism, including reports of it coming loose. These are useful points to weigh alongside the product’s range of sounds and handling features.
