Technical overview
- Name: JOYIN 16470 Hanging Ghost
- Size: 47 inches
- Material: Plastic and polyester, with a plastic frame
- Light: Cold-white LED
- Power: 3 AA batteries (not included)
- Lighting modes: Timer, constant light, and off

The timer mode turns the light on, switches it off after 6 hours, then restarts after 18 hours. Press the button once for the timer, twice for constant light, and a third time to turn it off. This gives you a choice between a repeating schedule and continuous illumination while the decoration is in use.
Getting the most from it
Choose a hanging spot where the ghost can be seen from the approach to your home or from the main gathering area at a party. The adjustable arms let you shape its pose for a doorway, porch, or branch, while the light adds a clear visual accent after dark. For a coordinated haunted-house scene, position it near other Halloween decorations, for a simpler setup, let the hanging figure stand on its own as a focal point.
Would a decoration that works in more than one setting make your seasonal setup easier to arrange? This ghost is designed for indoor or outdoor use, so you can move it between a front-yard display and an indoor party space. Its waterproof construction also supports outdoor decorating. You’ll appreciate it if you want a hanging figure with both a poseable shape and a built-in light, rather than a static, unlit ghost decoration.
Practical tips
Install 3 AA batteries, then select the lighting mode using the button. Use the timer setting for a repeating daily display or constant light when you want the ghost illuminated continuously. Hang it securely from a suitable spot, such as a porch, doorway, tree, window, or ceiling, and position the arms to suit the scene.
Practical questions
How does the timer work? In timer mode, the light stays on for 6 hours, turns off for 18 hours, and then starts the cycle again. You can also choose constant light or turn the light off with the button.
What batteries does it use? The ghost uses 3 AA batteries, which are not included. Insert them before choosing a lighting mode.
Can it be used indoors and outdoors? Yes. It is intended for indoor and outdoor Halloween decorating and has waterproof construction. Hang it from a suitable spot such as a porch, tree, window, doorway, or ceiling.
Final verdict
The JOYIN 16470 is suited to Halloween displays that call for a large hanging ghost with a poseable silhouette and cold-white illumination. Its timer option and indoor-or-outdoor placement make it a practical choice for adding a lighted focal point to a porch, yard, or party space.
