IRIS USA Dog Food Storage Container, 13-lb Capacity, Airtight Seal, Scoop

For pet owners who need a compact place for dry food, this IRIS USA container holds up to 13 pounds of dog food, with actual capacity varying by food type. Its rectangular bin, snap-lock latches, and airtight seal are designed to keep kibble, treats, or bird seed contained and make a pantry or feeding area easier to organize. A 2-cup scoop is included for portioning.

The dark gray and clear design lets you see the contents, while the compact shape is intended for cabinets, pantries, and smaller kitchen spaces. It can also store cat food or other dry pet food.

Tech summary

• Capacity: Up to 13 pounds, varies by food type
• Material: Plastic, BPA-free and acid-free
• Closure: Snap-lock latches with an airtight seal
• Included: Body, lid, and 2-cup scoop
• Care: Hand wash only
• Color: Dark gray/clear

The stated capacity is useful as a guide, but the amount that fits depends on the kibble or other food’s shape and density. For example, someone storing a particular bag of dry food may want to compare its volume with the container’s available space rather than assume every 13-pound bag will fit. The clear portion can also help identify when the food supply is running low without opening the lid.

Practical tips

Use the container for dry food or treats, and place it where its lid can open fully for filling and scooping. The included scoop gives you a dedicated portioning tool, while the latches are intended to hold the lid closed between feedings. Cleaning is hand-wash only, so it is not a hands-off dishwasher option.

Buyer feedback is mixed on the details that matter most for storage: some say the container keeps food fresh and appreciate its capacity, while others report that the lid feels flimsy or does not seal as expected. Size impressions also vary. Those comments are useful context, but they do not establish that every unit will perform the same way, the listed airtight design should not be treated as a guarantee of a particular storage result.

Who it’s for

Worth considering if you want one bin for dry dog or cat food, bird seed, or treats and would rather keep a scoop with the food than store one separately. Its compact footprint is aimed at homes where a larger storage barrel would be awkward, such as a pantry shelf or a small feeding nook. It might not be a great match if you need a container sized to a larger food supply or require consistent reassurance about the seal, since customer reports on both fit and sealing are mixed.

Compared with keeping food in its original bag, this bin offers a lidded, scoop-ready place to store it. A larger dedicated food vault may make more sense for households buying in bulk, this container is better suited to a smaller storage setup, provided its capacity works with the specific food you use.

Buying verdict

This IRIS USA bin is a practical-format choice for keeping dry pet food and its scoop together in a compact area. Its stated 13-pound capacity, clear panel, and included scoop make the intended use straightforward, but capacity varies by food and customer experiences with the lid are not uniform. Choose it when the size matches your food supply and you value a dedicated storage container, consider a larger or differently designed option if bulk capacity or a reliably tight seal is your priority.
