ILM FM01Y Kids Balaclava for Motorcycle and Skiing, Stretch Fabric, Earbud Channels
Product description
For a chilly bike ride, ski day, or other outdoor outing, the ILM FM01Y balaclava adds face and head coverage beneath a helmet or hat. Its stretch fabric and earbud channels make it practical when you want coverage without giving up access to earbuds.
The youth mask can be worn in several configurations, including as a full-face mask, half-face mask, open-face balaclava, or neck gaiter. That flexibility lets you adjust coverage to the activity and conditions.
If you need straightforward face coverage, a basic mask may suit the task, if you also want a way to wear earbuds or pull braids through, the FM01Y’s open channels offer those added options.

Everyday use

It is also suited to snowboarding and other outdoor activities where a neck gaiter or hood-style layer is useful. The manufacturer describes the design as protective against wind, dust, and other outdoor elements, and notes that it can help keep sweat and hair oils off a helmet liner.

Feedback on fit is mixed, including reports that it can run large for some 9-year-olds. The listed youth size is Medium, a useful reference when choosing for a child or teen.
