Humanworld by Peter Perrett, Vinyl LP
Product description
For listeners looking for Peter Perrett’s Humanworld in vinyl format, this LP brings together a set of songs shaped by romance, politics, sardonic wit, and wry humor. It’s a fitting choice when you want to explore Perrett’s songwriting as a physical album rather than choose a different format.
Humanworld is Perrett’s second album since signing with Domino. He describes the songs as more urgent and concise, while aiming for a record that feels more interesting texturally and sonically than How The West Was Won.
Why it’s worth it
The appeal of Humanworld lies in the combination of pointed subject matter and Perrett’s distinctive, dry perspective. Romance and politics give the album its thematic ground, while sardonic wit and wry humor shape how those subjects are approached. That mix offers listeners more to connect with than a single mood or topic: the songs bring personal and public concerns into the same album.
Perrett also emphasizes urgency and concision in the songwriting. For someone choosing between a vinyl edition and a format-neutral way of listening, that makes this release especially relevant if owning the album as an LP is part of the appeal. It presents Humanworld as a specific album to seek out, not simply a general introduction to the artist.
