HQMPC HQ-V01 Brass Garden Hose Shut-Off Valve, 3/4-Inch GHT, 2-Pack

Choosing a hose valve is about where you want to control water flow: at the faucet or right at the hose connection. The HQMPC HQ-V01 adds a hand-operated shut-off point to a 3/4-inch garden hose setup, making it practical for switching water on or off near a sprinkler, nozzle, or other connected watering equipment.

Its brass construction and included replacement washers make this a useful set for everyday garden hose connections.

Best use cases

Use these valves when you want a direct on/off control at the hose end instead of relying only on the faucet. They are designed for 3/4-inch GHT threaded watering equipment and can be used with garden hoses, sprinklers, nozzles, faucets, and RVs or campers. For example, a valve between a hose and sprinkler lets you operate the connection locally as you move between watering tasks.

The hand-tightened connection is intended to be easy to turn without pliers. This suits routine setup and removal, while the shut-off handle provides a straightforward way to manage flow at the hose. Compared with a setup that has no inline shut-off, this approach puts control closer to the tool or watering accessory you are using.

What stands out

The valves are made of solid brass, offering a metal alternative to plastic hose connectors. The set includes two shut-off valves and four additional garden hose washers, so there are replacement seals on hand for hose connections. Their 3/4-inch GHT thread matches common garden hose equipment using that standard.

Customer feedback often praises the brass construction and solid feel. Experiences with operation, durability, and sealing vary: some buyers describe easy use and connections without leaks, while others report difficulty turning the valve or dripping at a connection. A properly seated washer and hand-tightened threaded connection are practical parts of setting up a garden hose fitting.

The manufacturer notes that brass contains lead and advises choosing another material if lead is a concern. This makes the set best suited to garden and equipment connections where brass is an appropriate material choice.
