HOOMOON P97 Kids Instant Print Camera, 1080p Video, 5 Paper Rolls, Purple

At a birthday party or on a family outing, the HOOMOON P97 lets kids take photos and print a black-and-white copy to keep or share right away. It also records 1080p video, so it offers more than a camera focused only on printed snapshots.

The purple camera is designed for children ages 3–12 and has a lightweight body with a 2.4-inch screen. Five rolls of print paper are included, along with a special TF card, USB cable, and user manual.

Who it’s for

This model suits kids who enjoy taking pictures and having a physical memento to decorate or collect. Its one-key operation is intended to make taking photos and printing straightforward for young users, while built-in filters and cartoon frames add playful options. The rechargeable design also makes it portable for everyday use at home or while out with family.

Buyer feedback commonly highlights the fun factor and simple controls. Some parents also appreciate that children can see a photo print after taking it, which gives the camera an interactive feel beyond viewing pictures on a screen. Those impressions are useful context, but they are individual customer opinions rather than a guarantee of how every child will respond.

Why it’s worth it

The main distinction is the combination of digital capture and ink-free thermal printing. Kids can take photos and make immediate black-and-white prints without ink cartridges, and the five included paper rolls provide supplies to get started. This is a different kind of keepsake than a basic digital camera that stores images for later viewing: the P97 makes a small print part of the activity.

It can also capture JPEG still images and 1080p video, giving children more than one way to record a moment. A solid pick if the goal is hands-on photo play with prints to share, collect, or use for simple decorations. The prints are black and white, so it is not the right fit for someone specifically looking for color photo output.

What matters most

The listed effective still resolution is 18 MP, and the screen measures 2.4 inches. The camera’s dimensions are 4.33 x 1.77 x 3.23 inches. These details help set expectations for a compact children’s camera rather than a more advanced camera intended for demanding photography. Its appeal is the accessible mix of snapshots, video, playful effects, and paper prints—not a promise of professional-level image control.

The product information describes a rechargeable battery that takes 2 hours to charge and provides 3–4 hours of continuous use. It also identifies the body as BPA-free plastic with rounded edges and a non-slip grip. Not the best choice if color prints are essential, the stated print format is black and white. Customers also mention the lightweight feel and appreciate having several paper rolls included, though actual enjoyment and print preferences will vary by child.

Should you buy it?

Choose the HOOMOON P97 when instant monochrome prints are central to the fun and a child-friendly camera with photo and video capture fits the occasion.
