Growscape Animal Planter Small

If you want a planter that also works as a small decorative accent, this cement hedgehog has more personality than a plain nursery pot. Its compact size suits a desk, table, porch, or patio, and the removable drain plug gives you a way to let excess water out when needed. The tradeoff is practical: natural cement is heavyweight, so this is better suited to a spot you’re happy to keep it in than to a plant you move around often.

Size & fit

At 5.51 inches deep, 4.25 inches wide, and 2.76 inches high, the planter is designed for small plants such as succulents. Picture it beside a laptop or on a patio table, holding one compact plant while adding a playful animal detail. Those dimensions describe the planter’s outside, though, the listing doesn’t give the opening or interior measurements. If your plant has a wider root ball, compare it with the available opening before choosing, without that measurement.

The natural cement construction gives this small pot a substantial feel, but also means it won’t be as easy to lift and shift as a lightweight plastic planter. Its UV-resistant coating is intended to help prevent color fading outdoors. That makes it suitable for indoor or outdoor display, but the product details don’t specify other weather protection, so it’s sensible to consider your local conditions and where you’ll place it.

Pros

The removable drain plug is useful when you want water to escape after watering, keep it in place when drainage isn’t needed for your setup. That flexibility can help you choose how the planter behaves instead of being locked into a permanently open base. As with any small planter, drainage alone won’t prevent overwatering, so match watering to the plant and avoid leaving excess water around its roots.

The hedgehog shape also makes the pot feel more like a desk or patio accent than a purely functional container. It may suit someone looking for a small gift for an animal lover, while the UV-resistant finish is a practical detail for outdoor display. Is the decorative shape worth choosing over a simpler pot? If you want the planter itself to add character, it could be, if appearance matters less than moving plants between locations, a lighter container may be more convenient.

Buying verdict

It’s a great fit if you want a compact succulent planter with a distinctive hedgehog design, a removable drain plug, and a finish intended for indoor or outdoor display. The cement body gives it a more substantial presence than a lightweight basic pot, but that same weight is a drawback if you regularly rearrange your plants. Better avoided if you need a planter for a larger plant or need confirmed interior dimensions before buying, those details aren’t provided. For a small plant that can stay in one chosen spot, the appeal is the combination of a decorative shape and adjustable drainage, not extra capacity.
