Gordi Like Plasticine Translucent Sea Blue Vinyl LP
Product description
A translucent sea blue LP gives Gordi’s third album a distinctive physical format. Like Plasticine brings together 12 new songs by singer-songwriter and producer Gordi, also known as Sophie Payten. The record comes in a gatefold jacket. Its explicit content label helps set expectations before listening.
Technical overview
Like Plasticine reflects on several transformative years in Gordi’s life. Its songs draw on personal experiences including coming out, reconsidering the future she had imagined, and working as a doctor on the front lines during the pandemic. Across the album, she explores the beauty, heartbreak, and finite nature of human experience. That focus makes this release a fit for listeners looking for thoughtful songwriting rooted in lived change rather than a collection defined by a single subject.
The 12-song album is presented on translucent sea blue vinyl, with a gatefold jacket completing the physical format. That combination suits listeners who want a specific color variant and a packaged record for their collection. Compared with choosing an album for digital listening alone, this edition puts the LP and its jacket at the center of the experience. The content is marked explicit, a useful detail when deciding whether it suits your listening setting.
Usage tips
Play the LP on a turntable suited to vinyl records, and handle the disc by its edges to keep the playing surfaces clean. Set aside time to listen through the album in sequence: its songs share a reflective focus on personal change and the limits of human experience. The sea blue color also gives the physical record a clear visual identity when you take it out to play or return it to its jacket afterward.
For a quieter, more focused listening session, the album’s themes make a natural choice for listening from beginning to end rather than treating each track as background music. If you are choosing a gift, the artist, album title, color, and explicit-content label are practical details to consider alongside the recipient’s interest in vinyl and Gordi’s songwriting.
Included in the package
