FWERDG Waterproof Dog Blanket, 40"x50" Fleece Couch Protector

After a rainy walk, spread the FWERDG dog blanket over a couch or floor spot to give your pet a soft place to settle while adding a layer between damp paws and the furniture. Its 40"x50" size is listed as medium.

The blanket has a double-layer construction with a waterproof inner lining. One side is described as fluffy fleece and the other as soft sherpa, pairing a cozy surface with a barrier intended to help protect furniture and bedding from spills.

It is machine washable, and the care instructions specify cold water and low-temperature drying. That makes routine cleanup part of the design rather than an afterthought.

Quick overview

This FWERDG throw is made from fleece, with a heavyweight warmth description and a striped pattern. The listed dimensions are 50" long by 40" wide, and the package contains one blanket. Its dark gray color and throw format suit common indoor spots such as a couch, bed, or crate, the product also lists camping, hiking, travel, napping, and reading among its intended uses.

The practical distinction is the waterproof inner lining: a basic fleece throw offers a soft surface, while this blanket is designed to add protection beneath it. That can be useful for a pet that comes in with wet feet or settles on shared furniture. The blanket is also described as lightweight and portable, so it can be moved between home and outings.

Buyers describe it as soft and comfortable, and some say it helps keep couches clean from wet paws or dog accidents. They also mention that pets enjoy using it and that it is easy to wash. These comments reflect individual experiences, they do not establish how the lining performs with every spill or how the blanket will hold up in every home.

Care tips

The listed care instructions call for machine washing. The product details specify cold water and low-temperature drying, so follow those directions when cleaning rather than choosing a hotter cycle. Keeping to the stated care method is especially relevant for a lined blanket, since it includes both a comfort layer and a waterproof inner layer.

The listing does not provide further care guidance, such as detergent recommendations or instructions for treating a particular stain. For ordinary pet use, the stated wash-and-dry directions are the available reference. If you plan to use it on furniture, let the blanket cover the area you want protected instead of assuming its 40"x50" dimensions will cover an entire couch or bed.

Usage tips

Place it where your dog or cat usually naps, or use it as a removable layer in a crate. For travel or camping, its throw format and stated lightweight design make it easier to carry than a fitted furniture cover, though the listing does not give a packed size. You’ll appreciate it if you want a washable resting surface that can move between a favorite couch spot and an outing.

The blanket is also described as protecting against scratching, chewing, and shedding. Treat that as an intended use, not a guarantee that it will prevent damage, pets’ behavior and the area covered can vary. It might not be a great match if you need a tailored cover for broad furniture coverage, since the listed size is 40"x50" and no larger dimensions for this variant are specified.

Buying verdict

Choose this blanket when a medium throw-sized layer, soft fleece-and-sherpa feel, and a waterproof inner lining fit your everyday setup. It brings more spill protection than a plain, unlined fleece blanket while remaining a movable surface for naps, crate use, or travel. For a full couch cover or a precisely fitted protector, compare the dimensions with the area you need to cover before deciding. The listing does not specify a waterproof rating, so buyers needing a quantified level of liquid protection will not find one here.
