Fuzztones Live at Rockpalast CD and Bonus DVD
Product description
For a garage-rock listening session that can move from audio to screen, Fuzztones’ Live at Rockpalast pairs a live CD with a bonus DVD. The performance captures the band on the German TV show Rockpalast in October 2009, bringing its fuzz-driven sound and set of familiar favorites into a two-disc release.
The collection also includes “Penis Between Us,” recorded at the Orange Blossom Special in Beverungen, Germany, in 2012. Choose the CD for listening or the DVD for a visual take on the Rockpalast performance.

The Fuzztones’ sound draws on garage rock’s raw blend of classic rock ’n’ roll and rhythm and blues, with fuzzed-out guitar and layered vocal melodies. That makes this release a focused pick for listeners drawn to the unpolished energy of the garage-rock revival. The set also gives fans a way to revisit a televised live appearance rather than choosing an audio-only release.
Who it’s for
This set suits Fuzztones fans, garage-rock listeners, and anyone building a collection around live performances. It brings together well-known songs such as “Get Naked,” “Hallucination Generation,” and “Strychnine,” alongside additional tracks including “Bad News Travels Fast,” “Blood From A Stone,” “Action Speaks Louder Than Words,” and “She’s Wicked.” The CD-and-DVD format offers two ways to enjoy the Rockpalast set, while the separately recorded bonus track adds a second live moment from the band’s history.
Usage tips
Use the CD when you want to listen to the performance, and choose the DVD when you want to watch the Rockpalast appearance. The additional “Penis Between Us” recording comes from a different event and year, so it adds a distinct live selection to the release. For a garage-rock playlist, the set’s mix of originals and covers can sit alongside early rock ’n’ roll, rhythm and blues, and punk-influenced sounds. Track highlights include “Charlotte’s Remains,” “Highway 69,” “Romilar D,” and “This Sinister Urge.”
