Franklin Sports Batting Gloves CFX Pro

On-body feel

A glove that bunches in your palm can make holding the bat feel less natural. The Franklin Sports CFX Pro is built around a pre-curved hand shape and flexible palm features intended to keep the fit close as your grip changes.

Its palm uses Cabretta leather with etched groove patterns. Those grooves are designed to add surface area and improve grip, while the construction aims to limit bunching.

Picture setting your hands on the bat before a pitch: the CFX Pro’s focus is a smooth palm fit, not extra bulk across the back of your hand. Would that matter to your swing routine? It may if you notice gloves shifting or folding when you grip the handle.

Pros

• Grip-focused palm: Cabretta leather and etched grooves are designed to improve contact with the bat handle.
• Shaped for a flexed hand: Tri-Curve construction follows a pre-curved hand shape, while Quad-Flex is intended to fit around the handle as the palm flexes.
• Flex without added back-of-hand bulk: Tectonic Fit inserts accommodate movement without adding bulk, according to the product details.
• Baseball and softball use: The listing identifies the gloves for both sports, with multiple sizes and colors available.

The product is also identified as an official MLB batting glove and described as popular among MLB players. That provides context for its on-field positioning, but it doesn’t tell you whether the fit will suit your hand. You’ll appreciate it if grip feel and a close, flexible fit matter more than choosing a basic glove with fewer fit-focused details.

Spec sheet

• Type: Baseball and softball batting gloves
• Material: Cabretta leather palm
• Fit features: Tri-Curve Technology, Quad-Flex Technology, and Tectonic Fit inserts

The feature list is clear on the spec sheet, but it doesn’t include a size chart or measurements here. Since the feel depends on fit, use the available sizing information before choosing rather than assuming the glove will fit like another pair you own.

When it makes sense

These gloves make sense for a player who wants a leather palm with grip-oriented surface detailing and construction designed to move with the hand. They’re presented for both baseball and softball, so the intended use is broader than a glove labeled for just one of those sports. The CFX Pro takes a feature-led approach, a simpler glove may be enough if you don’t care about palm shaping or flex inserts.

It’s not for you if you need confirmed sizing measurements before considering a fit, or if you’re looking for a glove with a different material or feel. The product information doesn’t provide details about care, durability, or how the available colors and sizes differ, so those points shouldn’t be assumed. Choose it when its stated leather, grip, and fit features match what you want from batting gloves, pass if those details don’t address your main concern.
