TYR Adult Racing Goggles 140-Degree View
Product description
The low-profile design is intended to reduce drag, which makes these goggles a natural fit for swimmers focused on training pace or race-day performance.
A 140-degree peripheral view can help you keep more of the lane and nearby swimmers in sight without turning your head.
Mirrored lenses, anti-fog coating, Durafit silicone gaskets, and four removable nose bridges round out the setup. The listing does not give a lens tint or other fit measurements, so your comfort will still depend on how the goggles sit on your face.
Key specifications
These adult TYR Black Ops 140 EV goggles combine a low-profile shape with mirrored lenses and a stated 140-degree field of view. The wide view is useful when tracking a competitor in the next lane or checking your position during a turn. The mirrored finish is described as suited to bright environments, where it can reduce glare, that makes it less of an obvious choice for swimmers who mainly want a clear lens for a dim pool.
Durafit silicone gaskets are designed to form a snug seal, while the anti-fog coating is intended to keep vision clear during longer swims. Those features address common annoyances, but the listing does not specify how long the coating lasts or guarantee a fit for every face shape. A careful seal check before getting in is still worthwhile.
Who it’s for
These are aimed at adults who swim for training or competition and want a compact profile rather than a larger, recreational-style goggle. The broad field of view may also appeal to swimmers who prefer to stay aware of lane traffic without repeatedly turning their head. They’re listed for pool swimming, open water, and triathlons, though the mirrored lenses are most clearly suited to bright conditions.
A solid pick if you want race-oriented goggles with multiple nose bridge options and a wider view. It might not be a great match if you prefer an unmirrored lens or need a fit you can confirm in person before buying. From the way it is set up, the main tradeoff is a performance-focused fit: the low profile may suit speed-minded swimming, but comfort and seal depend on your own face shape.
What’s included
The product details specify four removable nose bridges, giving you options to adjust the fit around the nose. The goggles are described with Durafit silicone gaskets and mirrored lenses. No other accessories are listed, so don’t assume a case or replacement parts are included.
Before you decide
Are these goggles intended for racing? The low-profile design is described as racing-focused and intended to reduce drag, while also serving adult swim training.
Do they have anti-fog protection? Yes. An anti-fog coating is listed, although the product details don’t state how long it remains effective.
Can the fit be adjusted? Four removable nose bridges are specified. They offer nose-bridge options, but the listing does not provide face measurements or a fit guarantee.
Buying verdict
Choose these if a compact, race-oriented goggle, mirrored lenses, and a wide field of view match how and where you swim. For bright workouts or competition, those details have a clear purpose. If most of your swimming is in low light, or your priority is a forgiving recreational fit over a low-profile feel, a different lens or a less race-focused design may make more sense.
