EFAH SPORTS Size 5 Youth Soccer Goalie Gloves with Latex Palm

For a young player taking goalkeeper turns at soccer practice or a backyard game, these blue EFAH SPORTS gloves are listed as a youth option. They have a latex palm and a hook-and-loop wrist closure. The listed size is 5, with an age range of 9–12 years.

What to know

These are soccer goalkeeper gloves, not general-purpose sports gloves. The product details describe breathable material, lightweight construction, wrist support, and an adjustable closure. The closure lets the wearer adjust the fit around the wrist, while the gloves’ ambidextrous design means they are not listed for one hand only. The product name calls out a strong-grip latex palm, but buyer feedback on grip is mixed, so that phrase should not be treated as a guarantee of how the gloves will feel in play.

The listing describes them for indoor and outdoor soccer, including training and matches. That makes them relevant for a child who rotates into goal during practice or plays casually at home. They come as one pair of goalkeeper gloves, and the care instructions specify hand washing. A 45-day warranty against manufacturing defects is listed, it does not establish how the gloves will hold up to ordinary wear.

How it fits

Size 5 is described as suitable for ages 9–12, but age is only a starting point when choosing gloves. What should that range tell you? It suggests the intended youth group, while the actual fit still depends on the player’s hands. Buyers differ in their fit feedback: some find the gloves comfortable, while others say they run large. If possible, compare the child’s hand with the seller’s sizing guidance before choosing, rather than relying on age alone.

The adjustable hook-and-loop strap is a practical detail for securing the wrist area, and wrist support is listed as a feature. It does not resolve the fit question by itself, particularly for a player whose hands are at the smaller end of the age range. You’ll appreciate it if you want a youth-designated glove with an adjustable closure for practice or casual games.

Everyday use

For backyard play, these gloves offer a dedicated goalkeeper format without requiring a separate match-only setup. The breathable fabric and lightweight description suit active use, while the latex palm is intended to provide grip when catching or handling the ball. Those are product claims, not a promise of a particular feel or level of protection. Buyers report varied experiences with grip and padding, so the gloves may feel different from what the name alone suggests.

Feedback on durability is also divided. Some buyers say the gloves hold up, while others describe tearing or seams coming apart, including around the wrist. That makes construction consistency worth considering if the gloves will be used frequently. Hand washing is the stated care method, the listing does not provide further washing or drying instructions.

Buying verdict

These EFAH SPORTS gloves make sense to consider for a young soccer player who needs a size 5 goalkeeper option for practice, backyard games, or occasional turns in goal. Compared with choosing a glove solely for casual play, this pair adds a goalkeeper-specific latex palm and an adjustable wrist closure. If frequent, demanding use is the priority, mixed reports about grip, fit, and stitching are relevant when weighing alternatives. Not the best choice if you need consistent buyer-reported performance or a reliably snug fit without checking sizing first, the available feedback does not point to one uniform experience.
