ECOSELF Air Purifier HAP604

For someone trying to manage everyday dust, pet dander, smoke, or pollen in a shared living space, the ECOSELF HAP604 combines a 360° air intake with a True HEPA filter. Its listed coverage is up to 1,500 ft² per hour, so it’s aimed at more than a small bedside spot.

In a bedroom, Sleep Mode is rated as low as 20 dB, and the ambient light can be switched off. That makes nighttime use part of the design, rather than an afterthought.

If you prioritize broad room coverage and several settings, this setup offers more control than a basic single-speed purifier. If you prefer a unit with clearly stated room-specific airflow details, that information isn’t included here.

Where it shines

The 360° intake and outlet are intended to draw air in from around the unit and send it back into the room. The three-stage H13 True HEPA filtration is rated to capture up to 99.97% of airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns, including dust, pollen, pet dander, and smoke. The description also mentions odors, though it doesn’t specify a separate odor-filter material.

For a practical example, you could place it in a bedroom shared with a pet, run it during the day at a chosen fan speed, then switch to Sleep Mode and turn off the light when it’s time to rest. The advertised coverage sounds generous, but the listing doesn’t give a room-by-room airflow rate or explain the conditions behind that figure. Treat it as a stated coverage claim, not a guarantee that every layout will get the same result.

Highlights

Four fan speeds let you adjust operation instead of relying on one fixed setting. The timer can be set for 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours, while the seven-color ambient light can be turned off. A child lock and filter indicator add useful day-to-day controls, particularly in a busy household. The listed power consumption is as low as 0.35 kWh per day, actual use will depend on how it’s operated.

The brushless motor is presented as a way to reduce noise and improve efficiency, but the description doesn’t provide a comparison method for its claimed performance improvement. From the way it is set up, the clearest reason to choose this model is the combination of wide intake, sleep-focused operation, and adjustable controls—not a detailed set of room-specific performance figures.

Maintenance

The filter is expected to be replaced every 3–6 months, depending on use and the surrounding environment. That recurring upkeep is worth factoring in, and the listing recommends using a genuine ECOSELF replacement filter. Before first use, remove the adapter stored inside the filter, skipping that step could prevent proper setup. A filter indicator is included to help track maintenance, though no filter-cleaning or washable-filter guidance is provided.

When it makes sense

Worth considering if you want one purifier for a bedroom, living room, office, dorm, or pet area, and value a quiet mode, timer, and adjustable fan speeds. It may not suit you if you need published room-specific airflow figures or want to avoid periodic filter replacement. For a smaller, simpler setup, a basic purifier may be enough, the HAP604 makes more sense when its extra controls and stated large-area coverage match how you plan to use it.
