ECOHomes ECH-WWST-S01 Clear Window Sealing Tape, 2 Inches x 90 Ft

Everyday use

At 2 inches wide and 90 feet long, this clear plastic sealing tape can be cut to the length needed for gaps around windows, doors, and air-conditioning units. Its transparent finish keeps the seal visually unobtrusive, while the roll format makes it practical to cover a single drafty area or work across several openings.

Apply it by hand to a clean, dry surface: trim the tape, position it over the gap, and press it into place. It can be used on window styles including sliding and casement windows, as well as around window AC units. Sealing openings where outside air gets in can help make a room more comfortable through changing seasons.

Strengths

The cut-to-fit format lets you cover the length of a specific gap rather than relying on a pre-sized strip. That is useful for uneven window edges, older frames, or openings around a window air conditioner, where a tailored seal can make installation more straightforward. For someone choosing between an adhesive barrier and a fitted weatherstripping piece, this tape offers a flexible approach that can be trimmed for the area at hand.

Because the tape is clear, it can seal a window edge without adding a contrasting strip of color. The manufacturer also describes it for use on wood, glass, and vinyl frames, and recommends a clean, dry surface for application. Pressing the tape firmly along the opening helps place the seal where drafts enter.

Buyers commonly highlight its ease of application and usefulness for blocking cold air. Feedback on adhesion and how well it holds over time is mixed, so careful surface preparation and firm application are practical steps when installing it. The tape is also described as flexible, which can help when following the shape of a frame or trimming around an AC unit.

Is it worth it?

This roll is a useful fit for household sealing jobs where a clear, cut-to-length tape is more convenient than adding a rigid or pre-shaped piece of weatherstripping. Its 90-foot length gives you material for multiple gaps, while the 2-inch width provides a broad strip for covering window edges and AC-unit openings. The transparent plastic keeps the repair visually discreet, especially on glass.

It suits you if you want a straightforward way to seal drafts around windows, doors, or an air conditioner using a strip that you can trim to the opening. For seasonal comfort projects or targeted fixes around an older frame, ECOHomes tape combines a clear finish with a flexible, hand-applied format.
