DIMONCOAT Privacy Screen Protector for iPhone 17 Pro Max

Side glances on a commute can expose more than you want on your phone screen. This DIMONCOAT privacy screen protector is designed to blur the display for people viewing from an angle while keeping it clear for you when you look straight on. The two-pack gives you a spare if the first protector gets damaged or the installation does not go smoothly. Its fit is listed for the 6.9-inch iPhone 17 Pro Max, so check your exact phone model before choosing it.

Getting the most from it

The privacy filter is intended for situations where people are close by: reading a message on the train, checking a payment in a line, or using your phone in a crowded elevator. It limits side visibility rather than hiding the display from someone looking directly at it, so it is a useful layer of discretion, not a substitute for locking your phone or being mindful of what is on screen.

The listing includes an auto-alignment installation kit and describes the glass as self-adhering and bubble-free. A clean, dust-free screen matters with any protector, take your time during installation, since a speck underneath can remain visible. The package includes two protectors, which is practical if you want a replacement on hand. It’s a great fit if you want both scratch protection and less visibility from nearby angles without switching to a separate privacy accessory.

Why it’s worth it

This combines a privacy filter with tempered-glass screen coverage, rather than asking you to choose between a basic clear protector and a separate privacy solution. The product listing also describes it as case-friendly and designed for edge-to-edge coverage, which may help if you use a case and want the screen protected without adding another accessory. For everyday use, that means you can check a notification while standing in a crowded space, then keep using the same protector at home or at your desk.

DIMONCOAT advertises 9H+ glass, scratch resistance, and drop testing up to 13 feet. Those are manufacturer claims, not a guarantee that the iPhone will be unharmed in every fall, impact angle, surface, and installation all matter. If you prioritize privacy in public, the filter is the main reason to choose this over a clear protector. If you prefer the least altered viewing experience for sharing your screen with someone beside you, a standard clear protector is the more suitable approach.

Worth noting

A privacy filter works by reducing visibility from the sides, and that tradeoff can be inconvenient when someone needs to see your screen too. The listing promises ultra-HD clarity and color fidelity for a straight-on view, but no measured brightness or independent test results are provided. It may not suit you if you regularly share your display or want unrestricted viewing from multiple angles.

The stated compatibility is specifically for iPhone 17 Pro Max with a 6.9-inch screen. Case-friendly fit is claimed for most cases, not every case, so a particularly tight-fitting case could still be a concern. The product is described as having stronger edge protection, but it does not provide a separate measurement for that claim. From the way it is set up, installation alignment and the exact phone model are the key details to get right.

Buying verdict

Choose this two-pack if you own an iPhone 17 Pro Max and want a privacy-focused glass protector for commuting, public spaces, or everyday handling. The alignment kit and spare protector add practical value, while the claimed drop protection may offer extra reassurance for routine use. Skip it if side-angle privacy would interfere with how you use or share your screen, or if you need protection backed by specific independent test details, those are not included in the product information.
