DEVAISE Mobile File Cabinet with Fabric Drawers

For home-office workers who want everyday files and printer supplies close at hand, the DEVAISE mobile file cabinet combines two fabric drawers with an open shelf and a wooden top. It can sit beside or under a desk, or serve as a printer stand when you want paper and documents within reach. Four casters make it easier to reposition as your workspace changes, and the front two have brakes to help keep it in place. Its lighter fabric-drawer construction takes a different approach from a rigid, all-metal filing cabinet: it prioritizes flexible storage and easy movement over a fully hard-sided drawer setup.

Best use cases

Use the top for a printer, then keep spare paper or documents on the open shelf so a routine print job doesn’t mean searching across the room. The lower drawer is designed for hanging letter- or A4-size file folders, while the other drawer can hold office essentials. That layout suits a compact home workspace where one piece of furniture needs to handle filing, printer placement, and a little open display storage. It can also work as a general storage cabinet in a living room, though the drawers are specifically described for office supplies and files.

You’ll appreciate it if your desk area needs a mobile companion that can move when you clean, rearrange, or make room for another task. The built-in brakes offer a way to keep the cabinet stationary once it’s positioned. Better avoided if your priority is the firm, enclosed feel of a conventional hard-drawer filing cabinet, these drawers are fabric, so they’re a different style of storage.

Product specs

The cabinet has two drawers, an open shelf, a wooden top, and a steel frame. The lower drawer is intended for hanging letter- or A4-size folders. It rolls on four casters, with brakes on the front two, and the product description lists a weight of 22 lb. Tools and instructions are included for assembly. The description does not provide a load limit for the top or shelf, so don’t assume a particular printer or equipment weight is supported just because the surface can be used as a printer stand. It also describes the drawers as fabric rather than rigid material, a practical distinction if you expect to store heavy or bulky items.

Where it shines

The useful part is the combination of closed and open storage in one footprint: folders can stay tucked away, while a printer or frequently used supplies remain accessible. Imagine printing a return label at your desk, pulling paper from the shelf below, then rolling the cabinet aside to clear floor space. That’s a more adaptable setup than a stationary filing cabinet, especially in a shared room or a home office that doubles as another living area. On the spec sheet, the cabinet is described as easy to assemble, but no dimensions are given here, so confirm that its footprint will fit your intended spot before choosing it.

Buying verdict

This DEVAISE cabinet makes sense if you want a rolling printer stand that also handles basic file storage, and you’re comfortable with fabric drawers instead of hard-sided ones. It’s less compelling for buyers who need a clearly stated capacity, detailed dimensions, or a traditional filing cabinet built around rigid drawers, those details aren’t provided in the product information. Choose it for a flexible home-office station where mobility and a mix of shelf and drawer storage matter more than a fully enclosed, heavy-duty filing setup.
