COSTWAY 24961-CYPE Portable Twin-Tub Washer, 20 lb Capacity, Timer Controls

Choosing a laundry setup often comes down to space and how you want to handle each load. The COSTWAY 24961-CYPE portable washer combines a wash tub and a separate spinner in one compact, freestanding unit, giving you distinct wash and spin functions for residential spaces such as apartments, dorms, and RVs.

Its two-tub layout lets you move washed clothes directly into the spinner. Separate knobs control the wash selection and wash and spin timers, so you can set each part of the laundry process with straightforward manual controls.

Practical tips

Sort a load into the washer tub, add detergent, and use the knobs to select the wash setting and timer. After washing, transfer the clothes to the separate spinner tub. The listed capacity is 12 lb for washing and 8 lb for spinning, with a stated 20 lb total capacity, use the individual tub ratings when planning a load. The product information gives 15 minutes for washing and 5 minutes for spinning as timer examples, letting you choose a duration suited to the task.

The inlet hose connects the washer to a faucet. If the hose does not fit your faucet, use a faucet adapter. For a practical small-space routine, this setup keeps washing and spinning together while allowing you to move garments between the two functions without relying on a full-size laundry installation.

Pros

The main benefit is having separate wash and spin tubs in a portable format. That layout makes the next step in the laundry process easy to manage: move garments from washing to spinning, then handle them according to your usual drying routine. Three knobs provide direct control over washing selection and both timers, while the freestanding design suits residential settings where a compact appliance is useful.

Buyer feedback is positive about cleaning performance, and some customers appreciate the machine’s usefulness in smaller spaces. Experiences with size, spinning, noise, and durability are mixed, so comments on those points vary from one owner to another.

Key features

The COSTWAY 24961-CYPE is a top-load, semi-automatic portable washing machine with a twin-tub design. Its washing capacity is 12 lb and its spinner capacity is 8 lb, for a stated 20 lb total. The listed dimensions are 14 inches deep, 25 inches wide, and 29 inches high, and the item weighs 29 lb. Its polypropylene construction and grey-and-white finish suit a practical laundry area, while the side filter is designed to help filter during cleaning. The package listing includes the portable washer, an inlet hose kit, and instructions.

Unlike a single-tub approach that handles washing and spinning in sequence in one compartment, this design gives each function its own tub. It is a useful distinction for people who want a compact washer with a dedicated spinner and simple knob controls.

What to clarify

What if the inlet hose does not fit the faucet? Use a faucet adapter when the hose does not fit.

When it makes sense

It makes sense if you need a portable, freestanding laundry appliance that combines washing and spinning in a twin-tub design. The separate 12 lb washer and 8 lb spinner, direct knob controls, and compact listed dimensions make this COSTWAY model a practical fit for apartment, dorm, or RV laundry routines where a dedicated full-size setup is not the format you’re looking for.
