Colorations DSWH Dual-Surface Paper Roll, White, 36" x 1000

A continuous roll suits projects that need a broad, flexible work surface, while individual sheets may be easier for one-off activities. Colorations DSWH offers two different paper surfaces in one roll, so students and teachers can choose the side that fits the medium. Its 36-inch width gives classroom projects room to take shape, from shared artwork to display backgrounds.

Worth noting

One side is smooth for markers, finger painting, and fine-line drawing, the other has a textured finish suited to tempera, watercolor, and acrylic paint. That dual-surface design makes it practical for classrooms where activities change from one art medium to another. The paper is described as bleed-resistant and recyclable, useful qualities for a roll intended for regular creative projects.

The roll measures 36" x 1000' and has a center core that fits a 1" rod, allowing it to be set up for access and cut to the length a project needs. Buyer feedback is generally positive about the paper and its color, with customers also mentioning arts and crafts and classroom use. Some buyers describe the paper as very thin, a point to keep in mind when choosing paper for a particular project.

Who it’s for

This roll is suited to teachers, caregivers, and families who want paper on hand for a variety of drawing and painting activities. A roll format is especially useful when a project calls for a long, continuous piece or when several people need paper for different tasks. Rather than selecting separate paper for each medium, users can work with the smooth or textured side depending on the activity.

For example, a classroom can set out the smooth side for marker drawing, then use the textured side for a watercolor or tempera session. The long roll also makes it possible to cut pieces for individual work or prepare a wider surface for a shared project. Its white color provides a simple base for artwork, crafts, and display materials.

Best use cases

Use the smooth side for sketching, markers, fine-line drawing, or finger painting, and turn to the textured side for painting with watercolor, tempera, or acrylics. The roll is also highlighted for classroom arts and crafts, bulletin boards, gift wrapping, and chalkboard-wallpaper projects, giving it a role beyond individual art activities. For a school or creative space that regularly switches between drawing, painting, and display work, the two surfaces help keep one roll useful across different plans.

The 36-inch-wide roll can be cut for the dimensions each activity calls for, whether that means preparing smaller pieces for a group or laying out a longer section for collaborative artwork. Its center core is designed to fit a 1" rod, supporting a straightforward roll-and-cut setup where paper needs to be accessible during projects.

Is it worth it?

Colorations DSWH makes sense for buyers who value a versatile classroom paper roll over a supply limited to one art technique or a stack of pre-cut sheets. Its main advantage is the combination of smooth and textured surfaces: one supports drawing and markers, while the other is suited to several types of paint. Add the generous 36" x 1000' roll format and recyclable paper, and it is a useful fit for classrooms and creative spaces that need adaptable material for ongoing art, craft, and display projects.
