ChiXnuggle Waterproof Dog Blanket, Twin

Pet hair, dirt, and everyday spills can make a couch or bed feel off-limits to your dog. The ChiXnuggle blanket adds a soft layer for lounging while helping protect the surface underneath.

One side is faux fur, the other is Sherpa. Flip it to suit your pet’s preferred feel or the spot where you’re using it.

The Twin size measures 60"x80" and is described for use on furniture, in the car, or during outdoor trips. It’s a blanket, not a fitted seat or mattress cover, so placement and coverage matter.

Technical details

This is a reversible pet blanket in dark gray, with faux fur on one side and Sherpa on the other. A waterproof layer is intended to keep liquids from soaking through, while the blanket also serves as a barrier against pet hair, scratches, and dirt. The listed Twin size is 60"x80".

It is machine washable, with cold water and low tumble drying specified. That gives you a straightforward care routine after a muddy-paw rest or a spill. The product description doesn’t specify how much liquid the waterproof layer can handle, so it’s sensible to treat it as everyday protection rather than assume it can contain every kind of accident.

Everyday compatibility

The blanket is presented for couches, beds, and car use, as well as outdoor activities such as hiking and camping. At home, it can give a dog a familiar soft place to settle while helping keep fur off the couch. In the car, it can be spread over a seat before a ride, though it isn’t described as a fitted cover or as something that secures in place.

Its reversible construction offers two different textures without needing a separate blanket. That may be more useful than a basic throw if you want both a cozy resting surface and some protection for furniture. From the way it is set up, the waterproof layer is part of the blanket rather than a removable insert.

Usage tips

Spread it over the area your pet uses most, smoothing it out so the blanket covers the surface you want to protect. For a car trip, check that it stays clear of the driver’s controls and doesn’t interfere with seat belts or other safety equipment. The product details don’t describe any attachment system, so don’t count on it staying fixed during movement.

After use, follow the stated care instructions: machine wash cold and tumble dry low. If you’re choosing between sizes, the available description lists M, L, and XL as well as the Twin size, but gives no measurements for those other options. The Twin dimensions are the clearest basis for judging how much of a bed or couch it will cover.

Practical doubts

Can it be used on a couch and in a car? Yes. Those uses are specifically listed, along with beds and outdoor trips. It is still a loose blanket, not a fitted protector.

Which side is against the pet? Either one: the blanket has faux fur on one side and Sherpa on the other, so you can flip it.

How should it be washed? The listed instructions are machine wash cold and tumble dry on low. No other care method is specified.

Is it worth it?

It makes sense if you want a soft, reversible dog blanket that can move between furniture, a bed, and the car, with a waterproof layer and machine-washable care. A plain throw may be enough if softness is all you need, this one adds a stated liquid barrier and a second cozy surface. You may want to skip it if you need a fitted cover, a secure car-seat attachment, or detailed information about waterproof capacity. The Twin dimensions are useful for planning coverage, but they won’t tell you whether the blanket will stay put on your particular furniture.
