CHAMPLANT 9' x 12' Washable Area Rug, Low-Pile Retro Floral Design

Key features

The 9' x 12' rectangular format gives this CHAMPLANT rug room to anchor a living room, bedroom, dining area, or office. Its polyester construction is machine made, with a faded vintage look and floral pattern in muted tones.

At 0.27 inches thick, the low pile is designed to fit beneath furniture and in spaces where a thicker rug might interfere with a door. The manufacturer describes the surface as soft faux wool fibers and stain resistant, a TPR rubber backing is intended to help keep the rug in place. It is also listed as non-shedding.

This is a practical, washable style rather than a deep-pile floor covering. Buyers often praise its softness, subdued colors, and non-slip backing. Some also say it holds up well through washing and under furniture. Feedback on thickness is mixed, and some buyers report difficulty vacuuming it—an important point if vacuum cleanup is part of your regular routine.

Maintenance

The rug is listed as machine washable. For deeper cleaning, the manufacturer recommends washing it and air drying, for routine dust and debris, it also suggests shaking it out, sweeping, or using a vacuum. Buyer feedback suggests vacuuming may not be straightforward for everyone, so consider how you plan to clean it before choosing this large format.

If the rug arrives with fold creases, the care guidance recommends rolling it in the opposite direction and allowing the wrinkles time to flatten. The product is described as easy to clean, but no washing-machine capacity or specific wash settings are provided, so those details should not be assumed.

Usage tips

The 9' x 12' size is suited to larger rooms where a small accent rug would leave much of the floor uncovered. Plan its placement around the main furniture group, such as a sofa and coffee table, or beneath a dining setup. Its low profile can also be useful near doorways, while the rubber backing is intended to reduce shifting in busy areas.

Compared with a thicker, plusher rug, this one prioritizes a low profile and machine-washable care. A deeper pile may suit shoppers who specifically want more cushion underfoot, this style is better aligned with a broad, easy-care floor covering. Worth considering if you need a large rug for a high-traffic indoor space and prefer a faded floral look. It might not be a great match if you prioritize effortless vacuuming, given the reported mixed experience with vacuums.

Before you decide

Is this rug machine washable? Yes. The product information says it can be washed in a machine and recommends air drying after a deep clean.

Will it fit under furniture or near a door? Its 0.27-inch low pile is designed for placement under furniture and in areas where a thicker rug could catch on doors. Actual clearance depends on the door and floor setup.

What should you know about vacuuming? Vacuuming is listed as an option, but some buyers say their vacuum has difficulty with the rug. If you prioritize vacuum cleanup, factor in that mixed feedback alongside the washable-care option.

When it makes sense

Choose this CHAMPLANT rug when the 9' x 12' footprint, muted retro floral pattern, low pile, and washable format match the room and care routine you have in mind. It offers a different approach from a smaller accent rug: more floor coverage for a living room or bedroom, with a surface designed to sit close to the floor. If routine vacuuming is your main cleaning method, the reported difficulty is a reason to compare other styles before deciding.
