Cerpourt 22725 Picture Hanging Wire, 100 ft Braided Steel, 30 lb Capacity

Who it’s for

If you hang framed artwork, mirrors, or other display pieces and need wire for more than one project, Cerpourt’s 100-foot roll gives you a generous length to cut as needed. Its braided steel construction is designed to bend and wrap around frame hardware, making it useful for creating a hanging connection between two rings or hangers.

For a single display, a pre-cut wire may suit a one-time task. This roll is better suited to ongoing picture-hanging needs, such as arranging several frames at home, preparing artwork for an office, or making decorations for an event.

The wire is also listed for photo frames, canvas, clocks, cross-stitch, digital paintings, and mirrors. Its silver finish works as a practical, discreet component behind a frame rather than a visible part of the display.

What stands out

The wire is made from braided galvanized steel strands. That construction combines flexibility for threading, bending, and wrapping with the strength specified for hanging loads up to 30 pounds. A 1 mm diameter keeps the wire slim while providing a workable length for multiple frames and hanging projects.

For a typical frame with rings on both sides, cut a piece longer than the frame’s horizontal width so you have enough wire to thread and wrap at each attachment point. Fasten one end through a hanger, wrap the short end around the long end, then repeat on the other side. Leave some slack in the middle so the wire forms a raised hanging point when the frame is lifted. Use appropriate frame hardware and keep the total load within the stated 30-pound capacity.

Buyers often describe the wire as easy to unspool, thread, and twist, and note its flexibility for artwork and mirrors. Feedback on durability is mixed: some report that it holds up over time, while others say it can fray. Careful handling while cutting and wrapping helps keep the strands together during installation.
