Cadrali Smart Bird Feeder, 3K HD

The 3K HD camera is the defining feature of the Cadrali smart bird feeder: it lets you watch visiting birds live and see more feather detail than a basic feeder camera may show. AI identification is designed to recognize more than 10,000 bird species, with alerts sent to your phone when activity is detected. A solar panel, rechargeable battery, and weather-resistant housing make it suited to an outdoor setup, though it connects only to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. If you want a feeder that also brings backyard bird activity into an app, those features give it a clear purpose beyond simply holding seed.

Technical details

The camera streams in 3K HD, with day-and-night viewing listed in the product information. The feeder has a 3W solar panel and a 5000mAh battery, plus an IP65 waterproof rating and a chew-proof design for outdoor use. The maker says its AI can identify more than 10,000 bird species, actual identification depends on the feature and its subscription terms, so treat that number as a stated capability rather than a guarantee for every visit.

For recordings, you can use a Micro SD card up to 128GB, which is not included, or cloud storage. AI bird identification and cloud storage come with a 30-day trial, the subscription auto-renews, though you can cancel anytime. That ongoing-service detail matters if you are comparing it with a simpler camera or feeder that does not depend on a subscription for these features.

What it works with

The feeder supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only, so it is not a fit for a setup that relies exclusively on a different Wi-Fi band. Live viewing, alerts, and sharing are handled through the app. The product listing describes mounting it on a wall, tree, or pole, giving you some flexibility to position it near a spot where birds already visit. Check that your chosen location has a suitable mounting surface and Wi-Fi coverage before settling on a spot, the listing does not specify a separate range figure.

Usage tips

Choose a visible location where birds can approach comfortably, then use the app-guided setup to connect the feeder. The maker describes installation as tool-free and taking five minutes, but the actual time can vary with the mounting location and connection setup. Once it is running, phone alerts and live viewing can make it easier to catch a quick visit without standing by the window all day. For example, you could check the stream while making breakfast, then share a recorded moment with family through the app.

A solid pick if you want birdwatching, alerts, and species recognition in one outdoor feeder. You may want to skip it if you need 5GHz-only Wi-Fi or prefer not to manage a subscription for AI recognition and cloud storage. A basic feeder may suit someone who only wants to provide seed, a more demanding birding setup may call for details or features not listed here.

Before you decide

Does it work with 5GHz Wi-Fi? No. The listed connection is 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only.

Is a Micro SD card included? No. Local storage supports a card up to 128GB, but the card is not included.

What happens after the AI trial? The listing says the 30-day trial includes AI recognition and cloud storage, and that the subscription auto-renews. It also says you can cancel anytime.

When it makes sense

Choose this Cadrali feeder if you want to check bird visits remotely, capture footage, and share moments through an app, and your outdoor location has 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Its solar power and IP65-rated, chew-proof design suit an exposed feeder location, while the SD-card option gives you a way to store footage locally. It is less suitable if you want a fully subscription-free experience for AI recognition and cloud storage, or if your network cannot provide the supported Wi-Fi band.
