Brightown Halloween String Lights, 50 LEDs

Key specifications

These orange-and-purple Halloween fairy lights are designed for decorating without needing an outlet nearby. Each strand has 50 LED bulbs on 16.4 feet of thin, flexible silver wire, and the set includes two strands. Choose steady lighting for a consistent glow or flash for a more noticeable twinkle. The lights run on 3 AA batteries, which are not included.

The wire can bend around wreaths, garlands, doorways, or a centerpiece, so the lights can follow the shape of a decoration rather than hanging in a straight line. For instance, you could wind a strand around a fall wreath and place the battery case nearby, keeping the orange-and-purple lights visible while tucking the wire into the greenery. The tradeoff is that battery power means you’ll need to supply batteries yourself, there’s no stated runtime to help estimate how often they’ll need replacing.

Who it’s for

These suit Halloween decorators who want color, flexible placement, and a choice between a steady glow and flashing lights. With no outlet required, they’re handy for a table, bedroom, window, or patio spot where an extension cord would be awkward. It suits you if you’re putting together a small DIY display and want wire that can be shaped around existing decorations.

They’re less suited to someone looking for a bright room-filling light or a set with a built-in timer or remote, neither feature is listed. A plug-in strand may be a better fit for a display that stays on for long stretches and sits near an outlet, while these battery-operated lights make more sense when placement freedom matters more.

In the box

The listed set contains two light strands, each with 50 LEDs on 16.4 feet of silver wire. The 3 AA batteries are not included, so plan to have those on hand before decorating. The product description calls the strands waterproof and suitable for indoor or outdoor use, but the battery case is not waterproof and needs to stay away from water. That distinction matters if you’re arranging the lights on a porch or patio: position the case in a protected, dry spot rather than treating the whole setup as waterproof. The maker also describes the lights as low-voltage and safe to touch, according to the maker.

Before you decide

What lighting settings are available? The strands have two modes: steady and flash. The description doesn’t list additional effects or controls.

Are batteries included? No. The lights use 3 AA batteries, which you’ll need to provide.

Can they be used outdoors? The strands are described for indoor and outdoor decorating, but the battery case is not waterproof. Keep that case dry and protected.

When it makes sense

Choose this two-pack when you want orange-and-purple accent lighting that can wrap around Halloween décor and doesn’t depend on a nearby outlet. Flexible wire and two modes give you a simple way to dress up a wreath, window, or party table without committing to a fixed layout. You may want to skip it if you need a fully waterproof setup, a specified runtime, or lighting intended to illuminate a whole space rather than add a seasonal glow.
