OGERY Solar Camping String Lights 49.2 ft

The 49.2-foot light string is the standout feature: it gives you more than a small pool of light around a tent, while the built-in battery also doubles as a USB power bank.

This is a flexible setup for camping, patios, and backyard gatherings. You can switch between practical lighting and decorative effects instead of packing separate string lights and a small lamp.

The tradeoff is that the product details don’t specify the power bank’s charging output, and solar charging time isn’t stated. That matters if you’re counting on it to recharge a particular device or be ready by a set time.

How it fits

OGERY combines a camping light, string light, work light, and flashlight in one portable unit. The 49.2-foot strand offers warm-white and cool-white LEDs, plus RGB effects for a more decorative look. For a campsite, that means you can use the brighter functional modes around your setup and switch to softer string lighting when it’s time to relax. At home, the same format suits a patio, yard, or party where a standalone lantern might feel too concentrated.

There are 11 modes in total: seven functional modes, including high and low brightness options, and four decorative string-light effects. A blue button cycles through the functional modes, a separate red button controls the string-light effects. The product description also says a mode turns off when its corresponding button is pressed again after 10 seconds of steady illumination. Would you rather have a single-purpose lantern or one light that can also add atmosphere? This model is aimed at the second approach, though the long strand may take more thought to place than a compact lamp.

Worth considering if you want lighting for both practical tasks and evening ambiance, with solar charging as an additional way to replenish the battery. It may not suit you if you need specified USB charging output or predictable solar recharge times: neither is provided, and performance from a solar panel can depend on the conditions.

Pros

The built-in 5400mAh battery is designed to work as a USB power bank, which adds an emergency-use role beyond lighting. The unit can also be recharged over USB-C, the stated USB-C charging time is five hours, while a full charge is said to provide up to 20 hours of illumination. Its listed weight is 1.68 pounds, and the cord is designed for quick storage. The lights are described as able to handle light rain and splashes, so they’re intended for outdoor use, but that wording isn’t a claim of protection against submersion or severe weather.

A practical limitation: the listing gives no charging-output details for the power bank. Treat it as a possible backup for a phone or tablet, not as a guaranteed full recharge, without that measurement. Solar charging is included, but no solar recharge duration is stated.

Final verdict

This light makes the most sense when you’ll use both its long string and its more focused lighting modes. It can replace a separate decorative strand and camping light for some outings, while a basic lantern remains the simpler pick if you only need a compact source of light. The built-in power bank and solar panel add flexibility, but the missing output and solar charging details make it harder to plan around device charging. Choose it for adaptable campsite or patio lighting, look elsewhere if exact charging performance is a deciding requirement.
