Beats Bluetooth speaker with up to 24-hour battery life
Product description
If you want a speaker that can move from a room to an outdoor hangout, portability and battery life matter as much as sound. The Beats Pill pairs a carry-friendly design with a claimed battery life of up to 24 hours, plus dust and water resistance rated IP67.
If you prioritize easy carrying and flexible placement, its removable lanyard and silicone backing are useful touches, if you prefer a fixed speaker setup, those portable features may matter less.
Getting the most from it
Use the Pill for music in the kitchen, then take it outside when the gathering moves—its lanyard gives you another way to carry it, and the soft-grip silicone backing is designed to help it stay put. The battery is rated for up to 24 hours, though actual playback time can vary with use, the listing doesn’t provide a more specific runtime for different listening conditions.
For a wired listening setup, connect a laptop or another compatible device with the USB-C cable to play high-resolution lossless audio. That same port can also charge a phone or other device, which is handy when you want fewer separate charging accessories. The speaker can handle calls and activate a voice assistant from a paired device, too.
Why it’s worth it
The appeal here is a combination of portable use and a sound design aimed at fuller bass and clear vocals. Beats says the larger racetrack woofer moves more air, while a redesigned tweeter supports crisp highs and rich midrange. Its woofer construction is also intended to reduce low-end distortion at higher volumes. Those are useful priorities if you want one speaker for everyday listening rather than a model chosen only for compactness.
It’s a great fit if you want a single speaker that can travel between home and outdoor use, with Apple and Android pairing support. The Pill offers one-touch pairing and automatic pairing across your other devices, as well as Find My or Find My Device support. If you need more output or a stereo setup, two Beats Pill speakers can be paired in Amplify or Stereo mode. That’s a different approach from buying a larger, stationary speaker: it keeps the setup portable, but requires a second Pill for the paired-speaker experience.
Key features
- Up to 24 hours of battery life and USB-C charging for a phone or other device.
- IP67-rated dust and water resistance, this is a durability rating, not a reason to assume every kind of water exposure is suitable.
- USB-C connection for high-resolution lossless audio from a laptop or compatible device.
- Removable lanyard, silicone backing, and support for calls and voice assistant access.
The listing doesn’t give the speaker’s dimensions, so judging whether it fits a particular bag is difficult without that measurement. The battery figure is also an “up to” rating, not a promise of the same runtime in every situation.
Buying verdict
Choose the Beats Pill if you want portable Bluetooth audio, a long stated battery life, and the option to use USB-C for wired listening or device charging. Its mix of Apple and Android support makes it more flexible than a speaker tied to one phone platform, while the ability to pair two units leaves room to expand later. It’s not for you if your priority is a detailed size comparison before buying, or if you need a multi-speaker setup without purchasing a second unit. For a single speaker that can follow you between rooms and outings, its features are aimed at practical, everyday flexibility.
