Asidrama Asidrama-4PackPrivacyDoorHandlesWithLock Privacy Door Handles, Matte Black Zinc

The four-handle set comes in a matte black finish, with zinc handles for a coordinated look across multiple interior doors. Each handle has a privacy lock operated from inside with a button, giving bedrooms and bathrooms a simple way to signal privacy without using a key.

The adjustable latch fits 2-3/8-inch or 2-3/4-inch backsets and doors 1-3/8 to 1-3/4 inches thick. A reversible lever suits left- or right-handed door setups, while the matte black finish pairs naturally with modern and industrial-inspired interiors.

Quick overview

This set is designed for interior privacy doors, such as bedroom and bathroom doors. Press the inside button to engage the lock, if access is needed from outside after a lockout, the release can be operated with a standard screwdriver. The 2-1/2-by-2-1/2-inch mounting plate provides the base for each handle, and the adjustable latch accommodates two common backsets. Check that your door thickness and backset fall within the listed ranges before installation.

Choosing a privacy handle rather than a keyed entry handle makes sense when the goal is a straightforward room-level privacy lock, not key-based access. With four handles in the set, you can use the same finish and lock style across several interior doors instead of mixing hardware room by room.

Usage tips

Installation is designed for a screwdriver and comes with instructions. Before fitting a handle, identify the door’s backset and thickness so you can set the latch to the matching position. The reversible lever lets you orient the handle for either left- or right-handed doors, position it to suit the door swing and nearby wall or trim. Keep a standard screwdriver accessible for the exterior release in case the privacy lock is engaged while the room is unoccupied.

Best use cases

Use these handles on bedroom and bathroom doors where a simple interior privacy function is useful. The button-operated lock gives household members a clear, practical control, while the outside release provides a way to open the door with a standard screwdriver if a lockout occurs. The four-pack is also suited to updating several rooms together, helping maintain a consistent matte black appearance throughout a home.

The finish and lever design work well when you want an understated, coordinated look alongside everyday room privacy. Buyers have highlighted the handles’ appearance and ease of installation. Feedback on the locking mechanism is mixed, so after fitting each handle, operate the button and confirm that the latch engages and releases as intended.

Is it worth it?

For a multi-room update, this set brings together four matching matte black privacy handles, an adjustable latch for two backsets, and a reversible lever for left- or right-handed doors. It makes sense if you want consistent interior hardware for bedrooms or bathrooms and prefer a button-operated privacy lock with a screwdriver-accessible exterior release. Its combination of room privacy, flexible fit, and matching finish makes it a practical choice for standard interior door updates.
