AQUA CREST AQU-WF96 Sediment Water Filter Cartridge, 5-Micron, 6-Pack

For a whole-house filtration setup, the AQUA CREST AQU-WF96 is a sediment cartridge designed for 10" x 2.5" filter housings. Its polypropylene filter uses graduated-density layers to reduce sediment and other larger particles. The six-cartridge pack gives you replacements for scheduled filter changes.

Quick sizing guide

Choose this cartridge for a compatible 10" x 2.5" housing. It is listed as a replacement for systems and cartridges including Aqua-Pure AP110, Culligan P5 and HF-160, GE FXUSC, and Whirlpool WHKF-DWHV and WHKF-GD05. It also fits most systems using 10" x 2.5" filters. Match the housing size and model compatibility before selecting a replacement, particularly if your system uses a specific cartridge reference.

The stated filtration rating is 5 microns. AQUA CREST describes the three-layer polypropylene construction as graduated-density filtration, with layers listed at 5, 7, and 10 microns. The cartridge is intended to reduce sediment, rust, dirt, coarse and fine sand, and silt—particles that can build up in a whole-house water system. Its role is sediment filtration, making it a different choice from a cartridge selected primarily for another filtration medium.

What you’ll notice day to day

Installed in a compatible whole-house housing, the cartridge filters incoming water for the listed sediment and particulates before they move through the system. That makes it useful as a sediment-focused replacement for household filtration setups where rust, sand, or silt are the concern. The manufacturer states a service life of up to 30,000 gallons or six months, actual replacement timing varies with water quality and use. Regular changes help prevent clogging and support continuous water flow.

Buyer feedback highlights ease of installation and a good fit, with some users also mentioning improved water taste. Experiences with filter life and sediment capture are mixed, and some buyers report sealing issues. These reports are individual experiences, so check that the cartridge is seated correctly in your compatible housing during installation.
