Best use cases

This coat is designed for dogs heading outdoors in fall, spring, or winter. The fleece lining and padded construction add a warm layer for chilly walks, while the water-resistant outer fabric helps with damp conditions. A plush turtleneck with an adjustable elastic cord adds neck coverage, and the sleeveless cut leaves the legs free to move during walks, runs, hikes, or camping trips.

The dual D-rings on the back let you attach a leash directly to the coat. That makes this a practical alternative to a basic jacket that only provides a layer of clothing: the leash attachment is built into the coat, so there is no need to attach a separate leash ring to the jacket. Reflective detailing is another useful feature for walks when visibility is important.

How to use it

Measure around the widest part of your dog’s rib cage for chest girth, then measure from the base of the neck to the base of the tail for back length. Use those measurements to select the size, and choose the next size up if your dog is between sizes. For this medium version, the listed neck size is 15 inches and chest size is 20.9 inches.

Open the back zipper, position the coat on your dog, and zip it closed using the protective guard to help keep fur and skin clear of the zipper. Adjust the elastic neckline for the desired fit, then clip the leash to the two D-rings. The zipper closure is designed to make putting the coat on and taking it off straightforward.

Buyers often praise the fleece warmth, stomach coverage, fit, and ease of putting the coat on, including the convenience of having leash attachment rings on the jacket. Feedback on sizing and the zipper is mixed: some report a good fit and a sturdy zipper, while others say the coat runs small or that the zipper can slide down. Taking measurements before choosing a size helps make the selection more personal to your dog.

Buying verdict

Choose this AOFITEE coat when your dog needs a warm outer layer for outdoor time in cooler seasons and you want leash attachment points built into the garment. Its fleece lining, water-resistant fabric, reflective details, and adjustable turtleneck bring together practical coverage and walk-ready features in one medium purple jacket.
