Akkerds SB-122 iPad Case for 10.2-Inch 7th–9th Gen, Sky Blue

The tri-fold cover turns the iPad into a hands-free viewing or typing setup, with two stand positions for different everyday tasks. Its sky-blue finish and slim profile keep the design simple, while the built-in Pencil holder gives the stylus a designated place when you’re moving between rooms or packing up.

This case is made for the 10.2-inch iPad 7th, 8th, and 9th generations. It combines a soft TPU back with a faux-leather exterior and includes a magnetic auto sleep/wake feature.

You’ll appreciate it if you want a cover that also props up your tablet and keeps a Pencil close. It might not be a great match if you need a case for another iPad size or generation, the listed compatibility is specific to these 10.2-inch models.

Usage tips

Use one of the two foldable stand positions for watching a show or reading without holding the tablet, then switch to the typing position for messaging or other on-screen tasks. The stand is intended for these viewing and typing angles, rather than a wide range of adjustable positions. When carrying the iPad, the front cover can close over the screen, and the magnetic feature is designed to trigger sleep/wake automatically.

The Pencil holder is built into the case, but the Pencil itself is not included. Check the model number on your iPad before choosing this cover: the listed fit includes the 7th-generation A2197, A2198, and A2200, the 8th-generation A2270, A2428, A2429, A2430, A2197, A2198, and A2200, and the 9th-generation A2602, A2603, A2604, and A2605. The product information says it is not compatible with other devices.

Why it makes sense

A basic sleeve can protect a tablet during storage, but it does not provide the built-in stand and Pencil storage described here. This cover combines those everyday functions, so it may suit someone who uses the iPad for both viewing and typing and prefers to keep the stylus with the device. The front and back are covered, while the TPU interior is described as fitting around the tablet and its corners.

Buyer feedback is positive about fit, color, protection, and the dedicated Pencil slot. Reports about stability and the magnetic closure are more mixed: some buyers say the stand holds the tablet well and the closure stays secure, while others say it can be difficult to keep the iPad upright or find the magnet weak. Those differing impressions are worth weighing if a consistently firm stand or closure is a priority.

Buying verdict

The Akkerds SB-122 is a practical choice for a compatible 10.2-inch iPad if you want a protective folio with two stand positions, a Pencil holder, and auto sleep/wake in one cover. Its defined fit is also the main buying constraint: confirm your iPad generation and model number, since the listing does not claim compatibility beyond the specified 7th-, 8th-, and 9th-generation devices. Choose it for the combination of cover and stand rather than expecting a highly adjustable support.
