Akkerds iPad Case for 10.2-Inch 7th–9th Gen, Black, Pencil Holder & Tri-Fold Stand

The tri-fold cover gives this Akkerds case two stand positions, so you can set up your iPad for hands-free viewing or a more comfortable typing angle. Its built-in pencil holder keeps a compatible pencil close at hand between uses.

Made for the 10.2-inch iPad 7th, 8th, and 9th generations, this black case combines a soft TPU inner shell with a PU leather exterior. The magnetic cover also supports auto sleep/wake when opened and closed.

Product specs

This case fits the 10.2-inch iPad 7th generation (2019), 8th generation (2020), and 9th generation (2021). The listed device model numbers are A2197, A2198, A2200, A2270, A2428, A2429, A2430, A2602, A2603, A2604, and A2605. The soft TPU shell wraps the tablet’s back and corners, while the PU leather cover protects the front and back. A soft-touch surface, scratch-resistant and anti-fingerprint features, and a solid black finish make it suited to everyday handling. Cutouts allow access to the cameras, speakers, ports, and buttons without removing the case.

The magnetic cover enables auto sleep/wake, helping the iPad respond as the cover is opened or closed. Its tri-fold construction offers two positions: an upright viewing setup for video, reading, or video calls, and a lower typing angle for messages and other on-screen tasks. Listed dimensions are 9.84 x 5.91 x 0.59 inches, and listed weight is 10.56 ounces.

Who it’s for

This case suits iPad owners who want everyday coverage plus a built-in stand, rather than a simple shell that needs a separate stand. The upright position is useful when you want to watch a show or follow on-screen content hands-free, the typing position offers a different setup for working through messages or entering notes. You’ll appreciate it if you also want a dedicated place to store a pencil with the tablet, particularly when moving between rooms or packing for the day.

What you get

The product is a single protective case with a built-in pencil holder and a tri-fold magnetic cover. The pencil itself is not included. Keep it in the holder when you want it readily accessible, then remove it for writing or drawing. The case’s openings are designed to preserve access to the iPad’s cameras, speakers, ports, and buttons while it is installed.

Is it worth it?

The main appeal is combining several useful functions in one cover: back-and-corner protection, two stand angles, pencil storage, and magnetic auto sleep/wake. That makes it a practical fit for someone who alternates between watching content and typing, and prefers a folding cover to carrying a separate stand. Buyers often praise the fit, protective feel, and pencil holder. Feedback on durability and magnetic closure is mixed, so those opinions are best treated as individual experiences rather than a guarantee. For the specified 10.2-inch iPad generations, the combination of a stand, a dedicated pencil slot, and a soft TPU-backed shell makes this a versatile everyday case.
