AKASO EK7000 4K Action Camera with EIS and 131-Foot Waterproof Case
Product description
Who it’s for
Some action cameras are chosen for a compact setup on the move, others need to handle underwater outings as well. The AKASO EK7000 is aimed at the second kind of use, with a waterproof case and mounts for different activities.
It records 4K video at 30 fps or 2.7K at 30 fps, and includes electronic image stabilization (EIS) for moving footage. A remote and Wi-Fi app connection offer two ways to control or manage recordings.
It’s a great fit if you want one camera for activities such as cycling or snorkeling and value having mounting accessories in the box. Storage and an external microphone are not included.
Pros
The included case is rated for use underwater up to 131 ft, and the wrist remote can make starting or stopping a recording more convenient when the camera is mounted. Note that the remote itself is not waterproof. The box also lists two 1050mAh batteries, a bicycle stand, helmet mount, clips, mounts, tethers, a charger, and a USB cable, giving buyers several ways to set up the camera without sourcing every mount separately.
Wi-Fi connects the camera with the AKASO GO app on a compatible phone or tablet. The stated signal range is up to 10 meters. Buyers often praise the picture and video quality, straightforward operation, and included accessories. Feedback on battery life is mixed, so the manufacturer’s approximate recording times—about 90 minutes per battery at 1080p and about 60 minutes at 4K or 2K—are best treated as estimates, not a guarantee for every recording setup.
A standard action-camera setup with fewer included mounting pieces may suit someone who already owns compatible gear. Here, the appeal is having a remote, case, and a broader set of mounts bundled together, while still needing to provide a memory card.

What to clarify
Is a microSD card included? No. The card is not included, so plan to supply storage separately. The listing recommends a U3 card and says to format it in the camera before use.
Can you use an external microphone? The listing describes external microphone support, but no microphone is included. It specifies purchasing an AKASO external mic separately.
Can the remote go underwater? No. The case is described as waterproof to 131 ft, but the remote is explicitly not waterproof.
Buying verdict
The EK7000 makes sense for buyers who want 4K recording, EIS, a case for underwater use, and a useful range of mounting accessories in one package. Its included remote adds a practical control option for mounted shots. Not the best choice if you expect a memory card or external microphone in the box, or if consistent battery performance is your main priority, buyer feedback on battery life varies. The case-and-accessory bundle is the key distinction from a simpler camera setup, while more demanding recording plans may call for checking the recording format, storage needs, and expected runtime before choosing.
