15-Year Sobriety Coin

A recovery milestone can be hard to mark with something that feels personal rather than purely ceremonial. This 15-year sobriety coin pairs the Tree of Life with messages tied to recovery and service.

It’s made to be carried in a pocket or purse, or kept as a small reminder at home. A transparent plastic case is included.

The design is specific to AA traditions, so the inscriptions matter as much as the gold-colored finish when deciding whether it’s the right keepsake.

Best use cases

This coin is intended to recognize a 15-year sobriety milestone and can also serve as a gift for someone celebrating recovery. The Tree of Life represents ongoing growth, while the front carries the AA motto, “Unity, Service, Recovery.” On the reverse is the AA Third Step Prayer. That combination makes it more than a dated token: it brings a milestone together with words a recipient may already associate with their recovery practice.

For a practical moment, it could be taken out before or after a meeting as a personal reminder, then slipped back into a pocket or purse. It’s a great fit if the person receiving it values AA language and wants a compact keepsake rather than a larger display piece. The inscription is not neutral, though, the prayer explicitly refers to God, which may not match everyone’s beliefs or recovery path.

Product specs

The coin is made of gold-plated iron and measures about 1.37 inches in diameter and 0.12 inches thick. It comes with a transparent plastic case. Those dimensions give a clearer idea of its footprint than a product name alone: it is sized for carrying or storing with other small personal items, not presented as a large plaque or award.

The listing does not state the coin’s weight, so anyone choosing a token by how substantial it feels will be deciding without that measurement. Gold plating also describes the finish, not a solid-gold construction. If material composition or weight is a deciding factor, those details are not provided here.

Where it shines

The strongest reason to choose this design is its milestone-specific symbolism. A plain token may be a better match for someone who wants a simple, less explicitly spiritual reminder, this one combines the Tree of Life, the AA motto, and a prayer in one piece. What makes that combination meaningful to the recipient? It depends on whether those words and symbols already feel familiar and supportive to them.

The compact format makes it easy to keep close without turning the gift into something that needs display space. The included case gives it a place to be stored, though the available details do not establish how protective the case is. The gold-plated iron finish creates a more decorative look than an unadorned chip, but the product information does not specify care instructions or how the finish holds up with frequent handling.

Should you buy it?

Choose this 15-year sobriety coin when the recipient would appreciate a tangible AA milestone marker, the Tree of Life design, and the included prayer. It may work especially well as a personal keepsake or a small gift for a recovery celebration. It may not suit you if you want a nonreligious token, a design without AA references, or detailed information about weight and finish durability before buying. In that case, a simpler, uninscribed recovery keepsake may be a closer match.
