Vobafe TPU Back Case with Pencil Holder for iPad Pro 12.9 (6th–3rd Gen) – Light Blue
Product description
What it is
The Vobafe case is a protective cover designed specifically for the iPad Pro 12.9-inch range, covering generations from 2018 through 2022. It combines a microfiber-lined interior, a PU leather exterior and a flexible TPU back panel, aiming to absorb shocks, guard against scratches and keep the device looking as good as new.
Why it might be useful
If you own an iPad Pro 12.9 and value a case that provides storage for the Pencil and straightforward stand options, this model offers both. The built‑in Pencil holder is designed to allow wireless charging of the Pencil without removing it from the case, which can save time and reduce the risk of misplacing the stylus. The auto wake/sleep feature helps with battery life by waking the display when opened and putting it to sleep when closed.
What stands out on paper
The case supports multiple viewing angles thanks to the magnetic attachment that forms a stand, making it suitable for reading, typing or video calls. It’s aimed at everyday use—protecting the tablet during commute, at home or in the office—while keeping the Pencil conveniently accessible.
The good and the not-so-good
Pros: Designed specifically for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro across multiple generations, integrated Pencil storage, wireless Pencil charging, auto wake/sleep, and a multi-angle stand. The mix of microfiber interior and PU leather exterior may offer a pleasant feel and better durability than basic plastics. Cons: The Pencil is not included, and the case relies on compatible sizing to ensure proper fit across generations. Some users may desire more robust edge protection or a thicker structure for rough handling, the description does not detail additional drop protection levels.
Who it’s for
This case is well-suited for students, remote workers and professionals who want a practical, light blue cover that keeps the Pencil handy and supports comfortable viewing angles. If you prioritise a minimal, integrated solution for daily protection and Pencil storage, it could be a sensible choice.
When it makes sense to buy
Choose this case if you want a dedicated shell that preserves access to wireless Pencil charging, offers auto wake/sleep, and provides multiple stand positions for various tasks. It’s worth considering if you plan to carry your iPad Pro regularly and value the convenience of built‑in Pencil storage.
When you might want to pause
If you expect heavy-duty rugged protection or require military-grade drop resistance, this model may not meet those expectations. Also, if you rely on a specific stand angle for professional drawing or a heavier case for grip, you might want to compare other options.
What to check before buying
Verify compatibility with your exact iPad Pro 12.9 gen (2018–2022 models) to ensure a snug fit. Confirm that you’re comfortable with the inclusion of Pencil storage but recognise the Pencil itself isn’t included. Consider your preference for a PU leather exterior and a TPU back when you weigh grip and weight.
Practical usage note
In daily use, you’ll notice the convenience of folding the cover into a stand for typing or video calls, and the Pencil pocket can help reduce clutter on your desk. If you often work wih the Pencil attached and charged while you work, this setup keeps things simple without extra steps.
How it compares to common alternatives
Compared with plain slim sleeves or generic shells, this case integrates Pencil storage and wireless charging compatibility, which can streamline workflows for iPad Pro users. If you’re after a heavier-duty rugged option or a case with built‑in screen protection, you might opt for alternatives that prioritise those features.
Is it worth it?
Is it worth it? It makes sense if you want a tailored, everyday protective solution with convenient Pencil storage and wireless charging compatibility, provided you’re comfortable with a mid-range level of protection and the included features align with your routine.
