Benefits
Sharing peripherals and screens between two machines reduces cable juggling and saves time when moving between systems. The included USB 3.0 ports support up to 5Gbps for faster transfers with compatible drives, and having separate HDMI runs for each monitor keeps window arrangements intact when you switch hosts. Do bear in mind that both monitors mirror the single active computer and cannot display two different PCs simultaneously, which is a practical limitation to remember.
How to use it
Set up requires two HDMI connections and one USB‑A connection from each computer, and the switch ships with two USB cables and four HDMI cables to help you get started. It’s mostly a plug and play experience, so once cables are in place you switch hosts with the desktop button. It’s a sensible option if you routinely work across two desktops or a desktop and a laptop and want a neat, physical way to share keyboard, mouse and storage without constant replugging.
Who it suits
You’ll like it if you run dual monitors across two computers and value tidy wiring and reliable switching. It makes sense for home offices and small workstations where desk space is limited and switching speed matters. It’s not the best choice if you need simultaneous multi‑PC display on each monitor.
